At my high point high point I had just over 1,600 points. I had a couple bad vacations and I sold contract. Did things other than Disney and I felt better. Had a few more bad vacations with Disney and I sold another couple of contracts. Did other things felt better, yet again! Currently, listing yet another contract and the good vibes are starting to wash over me yet again in a kind of reverse add-on-itis.

You get those serveys were they ask questions like, “Do you feel part of Disney? and given the kinda arrogance and exploitation of the current company culture, my answer is no….and I don’t want to feel a part of Disney. In fact, it is that modern “Disney” feeling that pushes me away from their resorts.

As you walk around and are force through their various rules, technologies, politics, and procedures…that new “Disney” feeling hovers over it all. It changes my preception and experience. It is hard to feel good in place that does not respect their customers or employees. Whose practices are so dehumanizing. The rhetoric they use to mask their distain for average Americans only makes the problem worse. Their actions speak louder than words.

I miss the the old “Disney” feeling that made all humankind feel elevated and respected. It felt good to come to place like that. It was a kinda “City on a Hill” that inspired you to bring the good will you experienced at Disney home with you and share it back in your community. The feeling like if it is possible there…it is possible here!

For now, I will continue to hold onto a few remaining points in hope that what once was can be again..and maybe out of gratitude for another time and another place.

This is how selling contracts made me feel. How did it make you feel? Was it a happy or sad event for you? Would you rebuy or stay out? Which felt better, buying or selling?
