DVC Fan Base Nationalities

Hi everyone my name is Gaby, I’m 33 years old. I come from a Hispanic background.

When I told my parents I was investing in DVC they were very hesitant about it. How or why was I going to pay for a vacation I might or might not have.

I guess they were just not used to the idea and it didn’t seem like it would be something they would want.

On the other hand, my husband has always supported what I’ve wanted to do, and he said if it was something I thought would benefit us then he was all in. He is also Hispanic, Mexican born and raised. Never been to Disney till 2016, when our daughter turned 1.

From then on he saw how much I enjoyed taking her and how that turned out to be our happy place.

Anyway, fast forward a couple years and now my mom thinks DVC is the best thing ever and she even tells our family and friends how she is a member lol and how I’ve been able to take her to many different places.

There aren’t many Hispanic/latin members I’ve met, and ideally I’d like my husband to be able to make some Disney friends because sometimes I feel he might feel left out. His English is ok, but not fluent enough for a full on conversation. He tends to get shy 🙈
