Funny, we did not know about Walt Disney Day. We have had a Cascade Cabin Dec 8-10 booked for quite a while, but could not get Dec 7. We, also, looked at ALL reservations for Dec 7 and all we could get was a club studio at Wilderness Lodge which we booked just in case. The other day our wait list came through!! Yea!!

We have a similar August UY story. Last July we took a cash stay at Yacht Club since all of our points were tied up; 0 available. Our outbound flight was cancelled and we were re-booked the following day. When we called member services the only villas available for same day booking were an SSV studio and 2BR at BCV. 0
We bought our first contract in 2019 (,,,then covid hit) direct, and was assigned an August use year. We made sure all subsequent contracts, direct and resale, are in August. Yes an August use year is very confusing.
We love AKV so much that we added on 160 DVC Resale (Andy Berry) points to our 125 direct points!
