I love the Field Guide and really think its a no brainer purchase for new members. It isn’t expensive and has tons of good info. A few years in you may not need it so often, but I still refer to mine.

My only contract where I stayed before buying is Polynesian; I also toured there before purchase. I’d stayed at Beach Club’s hotel as well prior to purchasing. Bought VDH sight unseen, though I did stay at Disneyland Hotel in the early 90s one time.
