How long is Disney taking to load points on a resale contract purchase for existing DVC member?
@RJHopson We closed on a Boulder Ridge resale contract on May 29th, and our points were loaded within 8 days. Hopefully yours get loaded quickly as well.

I don't know for sure, but right now I believe the tickets are not on sale to the general public until next week. I suspect the parties closer to Christmas will sell out faster.
There is. When you go to buy tickets I see three options. 1. Products and Prices for Resort guests, 2. Products and Prices for Resort DVC members and 3. Products and Prices for Annual Passholder Resort Guests. #2 and #3 are cheaper than #1. For November 9th #1 is $189. #2/#3 are $179.
Wow, that is awesome. I'm sold. A lot of what you said is why we bought DVC: lifetime memories and experiences. For us, that is more important than trying to save some money. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Laura - we do have a 22-year-old son, and we were wondering if he would want to go/enjoy it. Can I ask if you considered/evaluated any of the other cruise lines?
@Laura Gnewuch Laura, how was the Alaskan Cruise? My wife and I actually looking into going in ‘27.
Thanks - I've seen LBV having stayed a lot at SSR. I've not seen Magnolia. I'll check it out.
Thanks - was it hard getting a tee time? I'm wondering if I need to jump on it when they open up the tee times.
Thank you. I would probably ship my clubs down so I can use my own. If I'm going to spend the time and money to golf, I would like to have the best experience, which means with my own clubs.
Thanks - I'm leaning towards golfing. With or without my wife! She may enjoy some time at the spa.
Maui22 - plus in retirement you can go when you want!! I know, we just retired last year. For us being able to go when the crowds are lower and being able to be flexible helps us always get a 1 bedroom. We are at AKL, BWV, BRV.
DVC Dan, I could not agree more. Knowing that your annual cost is essentially locked in, for us is reassuring. In addition we view our DVC as paying for experiences. In retirement we enjoy multile trips down in the cooler months and always stay in a 1 bedroom. Also, when we take our kids and grandkids, their reactions
We just closed today, so now we're just waiting for our points to load. The time we were told is 6 - 8 weeks; is that what others are experiencing?
Saratoga, as we find it easier to get in at the 7-month point. We always do a 1-bedroom. Also, we like the option to walk to Disney Springs. With multiple bus stops, we find it easier to walk around the resort than at OKW. Hey, just our opinion. Can't go wrong with either one!
We really enjoy ending the day with drinks at the Geyser Point Bar out back by the water. Breakfast at the Wilderness Lodge's Whispering Canyon Café is also good. We really like how quiet and peaceful BR is compared to the parks, so it's a great location for us. We were there in March and loved it. We also own at Anima
We own at AK and Boardwalk, and we're working with Derek right now to add a Boulder Ridge contract!! We own AK direct and Boardwalk, and BR will be resale.
Hello Everyone, John Hayes here from Southern Ohio. We have been DVC direct members since 2011 and also resales members since 2025. We really enjoyed the Facebook forum, and we are excited to be founding members here, looking forward to a great, interactive, and welcoming community.
