Kidani Village April 2026

To my surprise, the room was ready at 11:20am! That’s definitely one of the earliest DVC rooms I have ever gotten. With Kidani’s notoriously long hallways, I think we lucked out that we got room 7631 on the second floor, which meant we were on the lobby level not terribly far from the lobby.

Even better, we got to enjoy one of the beautiful refurbished Kidani Deluxe Studios.  The room feels a bit brighter with the pops of red by the Murphy bed and rug, and I love details like the light-up Lion King themed mirror.

The little step stool underneath the sink is such a great addition, and it makes everything easier for my 3-year-old son to reach.  I wish it were at every resort.

Kidani Village may not be as large as Jambo House, but there are still some nice areas to just sit and relax from the rocking chairs at each of the overlooks to the seating in the library.  The library would be a perfect spot for remote working if you don’t want to be in your room.

Don’t sleep on Kidani Village Breakfast at Sanaa, which you can find on MDE.  The short rib hash was a delicious way to start the day!

The last time I stayed at Kidani was before I had my son, and seeing it through his eyes made me appreciate the resort even more.  He loved visiting the savanna overlook behind the lobby to spot giraffes and zebras, and he often stopped in front of the hallway windows to see what other animals he could find.

The Kidani Village Community Hall is a real gem.  My son spent well over an hour there just playing with toys, but the balcony there is yet another great spot for checking out the savanna.

This is the first time I opted for the walking path instead of the shuttle to go from Kidani Village to Jambo House.  It was easier than I thought, and it was great that much of the path is shaded.  Walking at a decent clip with a stroller in tow, it barely took 10 minutes.

Speaking of shade, whoever designed the Hakuna Matata playground: thank you for putting shade around that playground!  My son had a ball just climbing around and going down the slides over and over again!  It was very hard to convince him to leave.

I planned this trip very last minute (a perk of being a local) to make it easier to go to Hollywood Studios for Moonlight Magic, and I admit I kept trying to stalk the DVC website to see what other resorts were available.  However, in the end I was glad I kept Kidani.  For 16 points, the stay was more than worth it, and I knew my son loved it too when he told me he didn’t want to leave.  Luckily, with DVC we know we will be back one day.
