OKW and BCV - Asking for friend!

If you don't plan on staying at BCV you should consider selling. Otherwise, I would keep it since it can be hard to get BCV at the 7 month mark.

I would keep the small BCV and just add more OKW resale. Plus the combined points of your direct contracts can be used at future resorts at the 7m window (which will have higher point charts). A win/win in my view.

Second - look at SSR for resale. Great option to have for "sleep around points". We are actually in process of selling our OKW contract (which Disney exercised ROFR) and replaced it with SSR resale just to save on the dues. Plus the longer contract expiration.

Wow, Great Question. I think it all boils down to where you want to stay. Resort availability at 7 months can be rough, so I dont get the concept of Sleep Around Points these days. Currently we have 3 home WDW resorts. Initially we thought it would be hard to manage, but it really has not. We tend to stay for 14 -15 days. For us spitting between BLT and BWV is ideal. Can walk to every park but AK. We bank and Borrow for AKV since we only have 150 points there.

If you prefer BCV, then I would sell OKW and go for BCV. OKW and SSR are the 2 resorts that we usually can get in at 7 months. The downside to BCV is the expiration date. Perhaps look at buying 150 direct at a resort with a later expiration such as AKV or BLT. Of course you can always hold out for LSL if you dont mind restrictions.

You have 150 direct at OKW and 75 direct at BCV. You are officially a member, and entitled to all the Membership Magic and Beyond stuff. As long as you own the 150 at OKW, you are "grandfathered in" and can use those points to book Riviera, Disneyland Hotel, Cabins, etc. If the amount of points required for membership increases--you are not affected because you bought and met the requirement previously. If you want more OKW, buy it resale. If you want to make 11 month reservations at another resort, buy that resale and save your money. ENJOY!!!
