Buying direct...
Thinking about buying 100 points direct (we have 2 resale contracts currently) at either Riv or the upcoming LSL. Don't really care about the direct benefits, that's why 150 isn't the goal#. Am I right in assuming-other than booking windows-that those direct points-in not meeting the minimums-can still be used at either/or, including VDH and other new ones that come up in the future? We know we love Riviera, did enjoy VDH once and assume we will like LSL. Don't wanna always be searching rental boards/sites and even DVCrental market hoping/waiting that those will come up. We were lucky in the past, but I'm not going to assume I'll be lucky every time-especially in the lower point seasons when it's dog eat dog out there...
Yes, your direct points would be allowed to book at the newer restricted resorts like VDH and RIV. Now you get the fun part of deciding which resort to buy into. You may get more responses to this topic if the message was in the Disney Vacation Club Buying and Selling DVC section of this board. This is the general questions section which doesn't get as much action.
