Does Disney treat resale points differently than direct points if you buy them at your home resort? Own at Bay Lake Towers and was looking at buying more points. If we buy them on the resale market can we combine them and do they have the same value as our direct points? Thank you.
They do have the same value to a certain extent. The only issue is you cannot use them to stay at the resorts from Riviera and newer (Cabins @ Fort Wilderness, Villas at Disneyland Hotel and Lakeshore Lodge when it opens).
If you bought BLT resale, look for the same UY. Then they will be under the same membership. It's still separate contracts (it would be even if you bought more direct points), but if they're under the same UY, you can move them interchangably. You would have the total amount with 11-month booking at BLT, and you could use them at the 7-month window at any of the original 14 resorts.
