AMA: Ask the DVC Show Team Anything!

So….how many different pairs of eyeglasses does Paul have? I swear each episode of the DVC Fan on YouTube features a new look.

I would like to get opinions regarding the rooms at both copper creek and GF. Which studios do you prefer for each? Big pine key ( resort studio) or Dvc villa studio? At copper creek, the resort studio with shower or the one without? I dont have little ones, so the tub isn’t needed. Just wondering which you all prefer and why?

Hahaha - I truly blame Amy for this! We found a discount glasses website called Zenni Optical a few years back and its become addictive for both of us. I'm talking like 5-6 pairs of glasses for less than you'd pay at an eye doctors office. I think total I have about 7-10 pairs I rotate through. I'm seeking therapy... Haha

For Copper Creek, it really doesn't matter to me on the shower versus tub... honestly, I probably just pick whatever is available when I'm looking to book.

Unpopular opinion, though, is that I prefer the old original Deluxe Studios to the newer Resort Studios at Grand Floridian. I love the Villas building a lot more than Big Pine Key and feel like those studios just speak to me a lot more than the new ones even though they might be a little older and outdated.

If I'm picking between the two resorts, though, I think my heart is currently at Copper Creek, but this changes depending on the direction of the wind and time of year. Lol

Did I hear correctly that Jeff was a police officer during the Utah Olympics?

We def love the original DVC studios at GF better than Big Pine Key, but Derek is the opposite. I like a good Deluxe Studio on a high floor. Most in the original building are views of the monorail. For Copper Creek, I have a love/hate relationship with the studios because I like to have a bathtub and almost all the bathtub ones are on the first floor with the exception of the few corner studios that are near impossible to get. If you want a higher floor, you're better off choosing the walk in shower option.

Thank you! I changed my gf stay back to the villas. I’ve stayed there before and you just solidified my thoughts. As for copper creek, i wasn’t aware that the tub studios were on the first floor. Changed that too! Lol
