Just got back from our 4th Vero trip. We have our usual places to go but also find a new place every trip.

Favorite place in the town of Vero Beach just a few steps from the public beach, El Sid Taqueria (and Countryside Citrus). Great tacos, quesadillas, bowls etc. Also great place for a cold treat. Vanilla, chocolate and orange soft serve. Orange Juice slushies and other flavors. I recommended an orange juice slush with vanilla soft serve.

Steps away from the Disney VB Resort I love the sandwiches at Beach Bites. Had the muffaletta wrap the other day. Also tried some of my daughter's buffalo chicken sub.

Today we discovered a place near El Sid called Grind and Grape. Good coffee but also seemed to have a great food menu.

North of the resort in Sebastian we have been to Squid Lips a few times. Food has been pretty consistent but love the atmosphere; open air restaurant/bar over the water. Plus you can walk out on the dock and feed the fish after.

A short drive from the beach, back on the mainland is East Coast Boba Company. My daughters are 14 and 11. Stopped there today. Great menu of you are into that sort of thing.

Disney thinks I'm a sucker for how many times I've bought one time use points.

Earls Hideaway in Sebastian has NY-approved pizza but it is a biker bar, not a family restaurant. That said, if you're on an adults-only trip and just want to sit outside with a beer and a slice, or hear some live music, it's good pizza.

I would have bought at BWV but they got rid of the clown.

We are here now and have found 2 great spots so far: Chill and Grill and Counter Culture Beachside. Both are small, unassuming places that are just excellent but in totally different ways. Chill and Grill (DQ lawsuit pending ๐Ÿคช) is on Hwy 1 and open for dinner only. We had the beet salad, chicken sandwich, and the crabcake entree. All were just fantastic, and we walked out of there at under $70 with tax and tip for the two of us. Counter Culture is a cafe (breakfast and lunch) down on Cardinal and Beachland by the pier where Ocean Grill is located. Smoked brisket sandwich and Pollo Damiano (their own concoction) were both great, and again, reasonably priced for what you got. Both places are family-run and the owners were right there, greeting guests, serving meals, and cooking. They also seemed to have a lot of locals driving their traffic, which is normally the telltale sign, right?
