New York DVC Members Lounge

Hello from LI! Bought in 2019 and usually fly out of Islip, although I've done the drive a few times and also taken Amtrak (not the auto train and never again without a roomette). Thought I'd be escaping the winter misery but it turns out being from wine country means I can't ignore the siren's call of F&W in September

Unpopular DVC Opinions

The mug isn't for soda per se, it's for mixers. We usually stay in studios so buying Sprite/Ginger ale and Coke and lemonade and Guinness and a bottle of wine is not where we're at. But if you're talking about mugs for kids, I get it.

Favorite Restaurant and Why?

I'd wake up the next morning and get the Al Forno Eggs at Trattoria al Forno. It's perfect every time. There are a dozen fantastic Italian places near me and not one does breakfast, so it's an only-at-Disney opportunity.

Old Key West Owners Thread

If you're willing to roll the dice on traveling with it, the Mickey tie dye activity is a neat souvenir for kids. I always end up with an abundance of plastic bags so I triple wrapped a pillow case and a onesie for the niblings. Made it home fine.

DVC Ownership Approach

We bought the cheapest smallest direct contract we could to qualify for a blue card at the time, three months before they increased the minimum. I researched obsessively so I already knew I could add on through the resale market. In hindsight I would have picked a different use year because my travel habits have change
