DVC "Favorite Weeks"

One thing that makes it a harder sell for me is its Sun-Sun which doesnt really fit our typical travel schedules.

Hi Kenny, I have a Favorite Week contract for the Polynesian. I just purchased it earlier this year, so haven't had a chance to use my favorite week yet, and in fact don't plan to use it for at least few more years. What is nice about the Favorite Week is that you can forgo that week and just use the points as normal, which is what we plan to do for a while. Ultimately, I see the favorite week as "insurance" for us to obtain a reservation for a potentially hard to get time. Our favorite week is Week 49 as early December is very competitive to get reservations for. I am hoping I can just easily get the dates/room that I want every December without the favorite week guarantee, but I like having the favorite week as insurance. As byurick stated, the week is Sunday-Sunday and that works okay for us but isn't for everyone. If we get another direct contract, we'd probably get another favorite week as there really is no downside and you always have the flexibility to use the points any time of year as a normal contract.
