TRIP REPORT: April 5 - 12

Our first trip as DVC Members!

3 nts Poly + 4 nts Vero Beach

Overview:

• Buffalo → MCO, Sunday night

• Watched fireworks from BLT member lounge (great start)

• 2-day dining plan w. kids free

• One big park day (MK + HS)

• Drove to Vero for 3 full days

• Windy/rainy some days but made the best of it

Poly Days

Monday was a true down day at the resort:

• 3 Pools, Dole Whip, Oasis QS lunch

• Trader Sam’s during early evening with kids

• Dinner at ‘Ohana (1 table service credit)

Tuesday was our main park day and went better than expected during a busy week:

MK (rope drop 7:30am):

• 7DMT (25 min standby)

• Space Mountain x2 (10 min sb + LL)

• Haunted Mansion (LL)

• Pirates (LL)

• Small World (10 min)

• Philharmagic, Carousel of Progress (walk-ons for rest!)

• TRON (ILL)

Used snack credits at Sleepy Hollow for waffles which worked perfectly as breakfast.

2 child QS credits at Casey’s for lunch. 2 specialty footlongs fed all 4 of us!

Quick Poly Break & Park hop to HS:

(Slight delay due to a lost car key detour 🙃 but recovered)

• Tower of Terror (LL)

• Millennium Falcon (LL)

• Toy Story Mania (LL)

• M&M Runaway Railway (LL)

• RotR (ILL)

• Mickey vacation short + One Man’s Dream (nice rest)

• Early dinner at Hollywood & Vine

• Fantasmic first show with reserved seating (worth it! 1 table service credit at H&V)

Back to MK until close (11pm):

• Jungle Cruise (LL)

• Tiana (LL)

• Peter Pan (LL)

• Winnie the Pooh (<10 min)

• Dumbo (5 min)

Felt like we got a TON done without feeling too rushed.

Transition Day (Wednesday):

• Quick service lunch at Polite Pig in Disney Springs (2 adult QS credits for our fave Butcher Board - fed us all!)

• Drove to Vero Beach. Dinner from W&W Market QS.

Vero Beach (Thurs–Sat):

• Mainly pool time but some beach (windy)

• Slide was closed 😩 but kids loved the pool and activities (mini golf, pool games, basketball court, campfire, movies, video games)

• Had intentions of leaving the resort but it didn't happen. Ordered DoorDash dinner twice but otherwise ate on site.

• Character breakfast on Saturday

Flight home Sunday. Kids loved this trip!
