my brother is at the grand right now,he said they took out a pool to put the dvc build in,is this true

Not at all. The Grand Floridian has 2 pools, and a splash zone for littles. They have been refurbishing the walking paths, but that is part of the whole refurbishment project and not for DVC specifically. The two DVC buildings, the original and Big Pine Key are not involved in the resort refurbishment that i know of.
