Winning the DVC/Disney “lottery”😉
Exciting news! Today, I found out that my waitlist for an AKV value studio (during the first week of April that I decided to book after the 11 month mark b/c it was a good way to use some remaining points) came through AND my good deal 50 point PVB contract passed RoFR. Feeling like I won the lottery, getting the news for both of these on the same day.
This got me thinking that this might be a good idea for a thread. This can be a place where you share your moments where you feel like you win the Disney/DVC lottery when something exciting or unexpected or surprising happens, as well as respond/share the joy of others!

My favorite DVC lottery story happened in May 2022. We had a waitlist for three nights in a studio at the Grand Californian for October 2022. We were on a Disney Cruise on the Magic in May of that year enjoying a port call in Grand Cayman. While at a beach bar I was checking my email because the place had WIFI. In my inbox was the email from DVC - "We Can't Wait to Welcome You Home," our waitlist had come through.
