Problems Booking at 7 months
This has been an issue for a long time (as in before bots were a thing I think). My theory is that right before 0800 hours is when the wait list function scrapes the wait lists.

Interesting article - https://blogmickey.com/2026/07/disney-vacation-club-quietly-renames-two-pools-at-lakeshore-lodge/ So Perspective Pond Pool is now going to be named Cypress Point Pool. That's a deep Easter Egg because the late 1970s concept for a lodge next to Fort Wilderness was going to be named the Cypress Poin
Great post and I will add to the recommendations to do this sooner. My mom did this back in 2017, drawing up the paperwork for which deeds would go to my sister and which deeds would go to me. DVC recommended to her to do it because they said it is a mess to try and sort out after someone has died or is too ill to hand
Poly will be tough at seven months. One thing I recommend if you have the points to burn - tryin 1BRs, they are often the easiest to get.
Bus Strategy is the number one reason you stay at the Grand Stand. It is the first bus stop so that is great when coming back from the parks and you are tired. However, it is also an easy walk to the last bus stop (the Springs) which gives you a choice when going to the parks. If it is early morning and the busses are
My favorite DVC lottery story happened in May 2022. We had a waitlist for three nights in a studio at the Grand Californian for October 2022. We were on a Disney Cruise on the Magic in May of that year enjoying a port call in Grand Cayman. While at a beach bar I was checking my email because the place had WIFI. In my i
A couple of years ago my wife and I talked to someone working as a cashier at Mercantile at the Wilderness Lodge. She was a retired snow bird who came to Florida for three months every winter and she worked about 15 hours a week at Disney when she was down there.
When you are doing online check in on My Disney Experience there is a tab for room requests. You can also call DVC and they will log your request.
When you stay there, stay at the Grand Stand (specifically in the 8500 building). It's easy on the points because it is considered "Standard View" but it is actually closer to the Carriage House than some of the Springs buildings which are "Preferred View." Plus in the 8500 building you are right outside the pool with
Thanks, we have eaten at Wailulu in the past and enjoyed and we are looking forward to getting to try other things on the menue.
I was just playing with Google Maps in regard to this. If you park in the closest section of the Lime Garage, it is over a half mile walk to the Congress Park bus stop and almost a mile to the Rock Springs Pool and the Springs bus stop. I don't doubt there are some people doing this and who think they are gaming the sy
Don't own at the Poly but our first stays in the Tower are coming up. We have one night there in October before we head to MCO following a five night cruise on the Dream and three nights at Vero Beach. Then we have six nights in a studio in February after a six night stay in a 1BR at Boulder Ridge. What should I look f
I will be really annoyed if my ability to access SSR gets curtailed in anyway. Besides the fact that we own there, even when we are not staying there it is one of our favorite places on WDW property to go birding.
Unfortunately with DCL discontinuing the cruises in Australia you no longer get the repositioning cruise that stops in Hawaii.
Who is walking from DS to SSR to use the pools? You have to be pretty hard up for a pool to want to do that. The pools at SSR are fine but they are not that great and they certainly are not a convenient walk from DS. I have to believe a lot of this stuff Disney is doing is specific to peak times (such as 4th of July we
You mean walking to SSR from DS?
Keep in mind restrictions of this sort have been in place for awhile. Back in the day (pre COVID) you could drive to Animal Kingdom Lodge and park and walk around and look at animals. That practice got halted during COVID and it has been kept in place.
