Room charge/Folio how to questions:
Actually this is a Disney Inspire card question, I guess. We've never charged to our room but have instead just paid directly with a credit card or gift card. We have an upcoming trip where we're going to charge to the room to work towards the $2000 resort spend. We've got an upcoming trip with an adult son and his two tween daughters.
Question 1: Can you charge to your room if you don't have a Magic band or phone? (I'm assuming no and that I'll end up buying them Magic bands since the kids don't have phones yet)
Question 2: If each person has a unique PIN number will I be able to tell who charged what when reviewing the room charges or are the charges all lumped together?
Bonus: What's anyone's experience with the best way to keep track of kids spending? I want to give them some independence but still corral their spending.

You can ask for a “key to the world” card for each person: Disney World offers complimentary Key to the World cards to resort guests, which act as a physical room key, park ticket, and charging method, mirroring MagicBand functionality. I did this with my parents and got the cheapo lanyards to hold the cards for them to wear.

Your first question, like @UberSchtik said is to use a Key to the World card to charge to your room unless you have a Magicband.
But to answer your 2nd question, yes by assigning a PIN to each person you can see the folio charges and who made which charges.
For keeping track of kids' spending you could check your folio charges every night if you're letting them charge to the room.
Another way is to give them a gift card with a predetermined amount on it. If they spend it all, then they're not allowed to buy anything else.

Thanks. I'd kinda forgotten about the key cards since we haven't used them in years.
I'd thought of the gift card route, but - if you lose them, it's like losing cash if you don't catch it right away. Also, I want to charge as much to the room as possible to see if we hit that $2000 mark. With WDW prices, that's not hard, unfortunately, so getting the $200 back is a nice extra on Inspire. Thanks for the info in reference to the PIN's. That will help.

If you Mobile Order does it charge to your room folio or directly to the card you have on file (in this case, the Inspire)?
