How complicated is to upgrade to an annual pass?

We have a stay coming up in a couple months and are strongly considering upgrading to an annual pass since we’ll be in the parks 10+ days over the next year. I understand that we can upgrade the tickets we have at guest services when we arrive at a park- can anyone who has done this let me know how long this takes?

SupporterIt really depends on how busy guest services is at the time. The actual process takes just a few minutes and can be done anytime before your date based ticket expires. You can also upgrade at Disney Springs.
