Welcome! Will this be your first stay at the GC? It's a magical experience being so close to the parks and all the fun. DLR is smaller than WDW for sure, but nothing can match staying at the GC..... it's awesome.
Something I made a few years ago that I'd thought would be fun to share here for all of us DVC crazy people and also as a warning to all of those thinking of joining the comma club.....
Had a blast this past weekend at Dapper Day. We were on the Mark Twain when it started to take on water due to too many of us being on one side. Fun times.

Not all.... but many of us who have a "few" points also own at the OG Mouse House (Disneyland Resort) and visit there often. I love and appreciate how much DVC is a Florida/WDW thing, but it does exist at DLR too :) Mostly have this many points to treat family/friends to trips, help us have some awesome experiences suc

West coast comma club member hack. Owning at VDH makes your magic key more magical as it makes it super easy to get a park reservation any time you want....... Just book a room somewhat near the days you want to go (I think it can be a very large delta) and boom you have access to the on property magic key calendar. I'
They fit tight. I can wear XL for all of the Disney sold shirts on property at WDW and Disneyland but for these I made an error and got XL and had to re-order a few in XXL to feel comfortable. The XLs sit in the closet waiting for me to get back on the diet one day....
As someone who has had a lot of great steaks over my years working in my profession (the partners like to treat us from time to time at fancy spots) I'd give the steak at Flying Fish my vote. I also love the potato thing they serve it with.
We try and rotate our trips from WDW to Disneyland in cycles (using banking and borrowing to our advantage). For us, we like to take our time, and at the price of 8 day tickets, the passes were just a bit more. If we make two long 14 to 15 day trips spending at least 8 or 9 days at WDW and another quick trip to Univers
We love VDH. We'll be there in a few days for dapper day weekend. We usually stay in larger rooms at other resorts but we have become fans of using our points at studios for short trips at VDH. So far the hidden gem for us is the garden rooms. That's my happy place.
VGC is one of the main reasons we joined DVC. It's a magical place! Our favorite time to go is the week of thanksgiving so far but there is never a bad time to go to VGC :)
We started in 2022. Never heard of DVC before that likely as we lived in the west coast and when VGC was on sale we had not yet had our kids and were likely not in the stage of our life where we would have been too tempted to buy DVC. Too bad as if I would have known some direct VGC points in the 100s would have been a
2,000? I vote comma club = any comma. Heck I'd even let people with 999 points join as members in waiting :) We'll I guess I'd bite with just barely enough points to join at an even 2,000 points.......... Man I'm glad I bugged my guide to bump the VDH points from 350 to even it out or I'd be unworthy......
