We are new members, since 2025. We’ve been coming to WDW since 2016 when we finished college 🎢.

Now there’s four of us, and in February was our baby’s first trip 😍.

My name is Stacy and my husband Doug. We are originally from Illinois and moved to Alabama in 2022. We have a college age daughter, so we are mostly empty nesters now. My husband is retired and I have saved up my vacation time and we can travel to Disney 4 times a year at 4 nights each. We had not been to all 4 parks since 2018. We booked a trip last April and were staying deluxe for the very first time for 4 nights then we transferred to our "other" timeshare we have used in prior years for 3 nights. We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We loved it so so so much and we even added another night. Then we got to our other timeshare and were very sad. So when we got home and started thinking, how are we going to stay deluxe each time at those prices because we wanted to go a few times a year since we live in an easier driving distance. My husband looked at DVC resale. We did a ton of research lots of youtube DVCFan and we bought AKL resale in June. Our First DVC trip was September 2025 and we love it. We met with a DVC guide during that trip and my husband said we are not buying direct. He crunched numbers and with incentives, we bought direct at Fort Wilderness Cabins, even with the high dues. We liked them and its a nice space. We got the price per point down to a $ amount that was about the same price as a Poly resale contract. We have stayed DVC Sept 25 AKL, Dec, 26 AKL and Feb 26 Copper Creek and March 26 at Hilton Head. We head back home in May with our daughter. Split stay at FWC and AKL kidani. I plan all the trips I crunch points numbers and where we can stay and when. I got a bonus 2 night stay end of August Club level AKL for 1 night and 1 night Kidani and use free Waterpark ticket. I booked that 2 weeks ago. We have a trip booked 2 weeks after that in Sept. I am all in on DVC and feel very fortunate that we are able to buy in to DVC and looking forward to many years at Disneyworld, Disneyland, Aulani, Hilton Head, and Vero. We are also AP.

Hi everyone! Megan & Jochen here from Charleston, SC. Although I am originally from Maryland and Jochen is originally from Germany. We have been DVC owners since 2024 at BR which we sold to buy direct at Poly and we just closed on an AKL resale. I have been a huge Disney fan my whole life but my husband is a recent and reluctant convert. We are both really excited about this new forum and look forward to meeting everyone!

Hi, this is Andy in Minnesota. While I don’t own DVC, I’ve literally been to the World too many times to count (Including a College Program stint in 2011) and have gravitated towards DVC on recent visits after a Saratoga Springs stay a couple years ago and just returned from a split Jambo House/Boulder Ridge stay last month.

If I had to designate a “home” resort, I probably would say Boulder Ridge. I mostly had a resort day the night I spent there and even then I don’t think I did it enough justice.

Glad to see this new forum. I did have issues with my password initially since my password on the old area did not meet the standard for this forum. Everything is now the same.

I bought 3 resale contracts last year. Have serious case of add-on-itis. Since I am now retired and only pay cash for my contracts working to save up for another contract at either AKL or Polynesian.

My family loves joining Oma at Disney. My home resorts are OWK and AKL. 54 days till first trip to OKW and then in September snagged 3 days in value 1 bedroom at AKL. Can't wait

Hi everyone. I bought direct back in 2019 at Saratoga Springs. I love the charm of the resort. I am a mom of 3 sons (all of which are on my contract) and 3 grandchildren with 1 coming on the way come September! Looking forward to this forum.

Hello, I’m Mike and my wife and I are frequent Disney visitors from southeast Michigan. She enjoys the spa and shopping and I enjoy golfing and roller coasters. Also big fans of cruising (DCL and RCL)

We recently bought resale from dvc resale market to add to our direct points.

Going in a couple weeks to SSR with my parents to celebrate my mothers 70th birthday.

I live about 20 miles south of Wilkes Barre. Small world!

Thanks Amy and Paul for creating this DVC Fan forum. Looking forward to the Magic it will most assuredly provide! Paul’s shameless pitch a few minutes ago on the Monday night show convinced me to join. My wife BarbaraBonnie joined earlier today and is already bragging her member # is 300 lower than mine.

Thank you to Paul and Amy! We have been members since 2012 just before we welcomed our first grandbaby and our home resort is Boulder Ridge via resale. Since joining we have added more grandchildren and have stayed at GF, SS, AKL, Rivera, Grand California, Poly, OKW (Old Key Jeff), BLT, and of course our home resort. We watch every Monday and get our Disney fix when we are home in Massachusetts.

Hi everyone!

I am probably one of the newest, and potentially craziest DVC members! We bought our first contract less than 2 weeks ago (direct). Around that time I first saw everything DVC Fan on YouTube and have been completely immersed into everything DVC Fan and World of DVC since. I probably went too far into the deep end, because I already got another contract this past weekend (thanks! @DVCDerek). The add-on-it is hit me hard!!!

I must say I really appreciate the aithenticity of DVC Fan and the honesty throughout all content! Many people might think I’m crazy or just another one of the crazy Disney people, but thanks to DVC Fan, I have been heavily educated into DVC. And now I get to invest into my family upfront without the regret like I hear some people saying they wish they bought in sooner. So thanks DVC Fan for all you do! Especially thanks to Paul, Amy, Derek, Jeff and Panda! Y’all have been playing almost non-stop on my computer in the background while I’ve been working for the past couple of weeks!

We owe you guys for helping us execute one of the most important things to my wife and I… making memories with our family!

Can’t wait to be back in the Disney bubble in June! It will be our first time bringing our 3 month old!

The Ng Family from New Jersey. AKL 2007, Aulani 2018, and GF 2023. We love DVC. We just spent a week at WDW during Christmas 2025, and looking forward to going on Disney Dream to Norway from Southampton in 106 days.

We are direct members. Have used points to go to HK Disney, Disneyland, WDW, DCL, and other exchanges for different places. Totally no regret on joining DVC.

Looking forward to everything this forum has to offer.

We are looking forward to it! This will be my hubby and I's 4th cruise, and 3rd one for our kids.

Our family became DVC owners early last year. Bought resale through DVC Resale Market and we'll be going on our first ever DVC trip in August of this year! I've wanted to own DVC forever and a day. And of course, I want to add on more points!

Hi, we jumped into 2 resale contracts one month apart in November and December! AKL and BLT-Derek's favorite! :) I've been going to Disney since 1972-convinced my husband to love it when we stayed at the Yacht Club for our first big trip and rented boats, played golf and lounged excessively! I'm sure we'll be buying more (maybe looking at YOU Lakeshore Lodge!)...the goal is to snowbird in FL some day.

Walt Disney World is a favorite place for my husband and I. We had a Disney Fairy Tale wedding just about 20 years ago (our anniversary is later this year) and each of our 3 children has been growing up with Disney ever since (ranging in age from 14 to 7.)

We talked about DVC for years and had always wanted to join, but didn't think it financially made sense for us. Once we welcomed our 2nd child we started renting DVC points and were hooked on 1 bedrooms (BLT, Poly, BRV, and VGF multiple times.) I won't lie, when I think back on how much we spent renting points, I definitely have regrets - we could have purchased a contract years sooner than we did! We had to postpone a vacation during COVID and the DVC owner was kind enough to reschedule for us to 2021. However at that point we decided that would have to be the last trip until we bought our own contract.

When we found out VGF was going on sale again, we knew that was where we had to buy. Our favorite 1 bedroom villa plus emotional ties to the resort (our wedding ceremony was there!) We've been happy direct members with VGF as our home resort since 2022. Since becoming members, we've stayed at VGF, RIV, VDH, AUL, BWV and CCV.

So glad that you decided to create these forums, especially for those of us who don't do FaceBook/social media!

Hi everyone, My name is Bradley Brayfield I am from Valparaiso Indiana defiantly have been a Disney lover for a while. I do not own dvc but have considered buying a old key west contract but still trying all the resorts to make that decision. I was recently at Disney over easter weekend for a short few days for spring break after staying at Panama City Beach for most of the week. We Stayed at the Dolphin resort and I was not impressed as much as Old Key West, but it was decent for a one-day trip to Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. I do not recommend flying back out of Jacksonville, I recommend Tampa for sure which I did try last time.

Hi Everyone. We are a "west coast" family who jumped off the deep end with DVC in 2022. Had our first stay at SSR just was we were passing ROFR on our VGC points (with the help of DVCRentalStore), added on at RVA and CCV, and quickly added more points at the other places we love. Our next trip is in a few days to Disneyland for Dapper Day weekend.

Thank you to you all for creating this space!!! We have been DVC members (purchased with DVC Resale Market, of course) since January of 2022, and we've loved every minute of it...yep, we're those people that "wish we had done it sooner"!! I've been coming to Disney World and loving the parks since the age of 5 and have since been encouraging anyone who will listen to join me. Some of my fondest memories are enjoying time with my family and friends and watching my boys become the Disney loving kids they are! I love watching all of the content that DVC Fan puts out there, and enjoy the banter and fun you all have in sharing all of the information you do with us. Hello, I'm Chuckg from Ohio. Joined DVC Christmas 1993. Here's the family with Santa and the Yellow Bus at the now long gone sales center. Santa actually picked us up at the Contempory and paraded us around waving and throwing candy as we pulled into DVC, (now Old Key West) Sales Center. In 94, we toured Vero Beach in hard hats, and bought there too.

Hi all. Thanks to Paul and Amy and everyone else involved in setting this forum up. Let’s hope it’s all positive and happy stuff we post. We’re from the UK and have been members for about 4 years. We have a scatter gun attitude to contracts and own at SSR, Poly, AKL, GF & our latest last year, Riviera. As my login name says, “No More Points!”.😁

Love that this exists! So happy to be here. DVC member of less than a year who worked with DVCDerek to get my Saratoga contract. Cannot say enough good things about him! Took the plunge after years and years of cash stays. I look forward to connecting with everyone and talking about all things Disney Parks & Experiences, especially DVC.

Hey Everyone! DVC family from Metro Detroit. (Wendy, Vicente, & Alex) I grew up with DVC: my parents bought in at OKW in the mid-90’s. My husband and I knew we wanted a piece of the Magic one day. In 2018 we made our dream come true and bought direct at BCV. Haven’t looked back since. A few years ago my dad added us to his OKW deeds, so we technically own at both. We’re raising our 11 yo daughter to be an obsessive Disney fan like us! Ha! She’s been visiting the parks since she was 2.

I’ve been part of the DVC Fan group since 2018, shortly after we bought our contract. It was around 2500 members then. It’s been exciting to see it grow so much!

I am Lindsey and a new-ish DVC owner. Currently own at CC and about to close on a Boardwalk contract this summer! I am a Pittsburgh native, living in the DMV- (DC, MD, and VA). We are learning about all things DVC with the tips and tricks. We currently have 4 trips planned in 2026 and working on 3-4 for 2027. So excited to be giving our littles the gift of Disney!

Hi all! My wife and I are lifelong parks fans. My family was absolutely obsessed with Disneyland, growing up. My sister even got married on property.

We go to DW about 4 times a year so a DVC made financial sense (in as much as anything Disney makes financial sense 🤣). We’re currently closing on CCV. My wife and I both went to college in the PNW/Mountain West, and Wilderness Lodge reminds us of the times we spent at the Old Faithful lodge in Yellowstone. So, it will be nice to experience a little reminder of our youth when we make the trip out to Florida.

Our schedules are etched in stone, so 11 month bookings will be our norm (nothing around Christmas/thanksgiving/spring break). Hopefully we won’t have too much difficulty booking studios.

Hi Disney friends! I’m Laura from Kentucky. We bought BCV in 2003 sight unseen over the phone. We had toured BWV in 1999 on our honeymoon. We didn’t think we could afford it then since we were newlyweds who had just purchased a house. But we knew we wanted DVC eventually.

Jump to 2003, we decided it was time to start a family. I told my husband if we don’t buy DVC now we’ll never purchase it after we have kids. So we called up our guide from our 1999 tour (she was still there) and bought BCV. Closed in March 2003 and found out we were going to be parents in May. Our boys are now 22 and 18 and have been going to Disney all their lives.

We absolutely love DHHIR and we’ve stayed there at least 5 times. We’ve been to California once and stayed at VGC. Loved it! My husband and I were lucky enough to travel to Aulani in 2024 for our 25th wedding anniversary. That is truly a special place! In WDW, we stay at OKW often as we love the huge villas and low points. But we’ve also had stays at BCV (of course), AKVK, BLT, BWV, VGF, VWL, CC, SSR…I think that’s it?

Looking forward to a trip soon but we have to postpone our next trip so I’ll have to vacation vicariously through all of you! Happy travels!
