Tracking the New Lakeshore Lodge "Letters from Lakeshore" updates
Thanks for sharing the Bio flyover! The footprint of this resort is remarkable. I’m eager to see the outdoor spaces continue to take shape.

We also talked to our financial planner and she’s been supportive of our Disney time as important family time and a reasonable use of funds. I wholeheartedly agree too with your note that you have to cherish the moment and spend money on your self and family to enjoy what you love now. Good luck!
Based on some earlier posts in the thread it sounds like Disney is automating as much as possible, so I assume this will also reduce or eliminate the ability to email/chat requests for rooms. I hope they increase investment in MDE to allow more granular requests. Some are great (eg, BLT) but some aren’t (BRV).
Sharing this blog - had some additional detail https://www.disneytouristblog.com/fan-favorite-wailulu-lounge-at-polys-island-tower-refurbishment-from-now-to-june-2026/
We’re doing dining plan on our arrival night (we stay at all star because we get in late and move to DVC the next day). The plan feels like a bonus and makes the cups and first few eats feel (free), then discounts the rest of the trip.
Following - I saw that notice about refurbishment too and wondered what’s up
Following along on your journey! We have 2 resale contracts and felt confident about that. But then from time to time I think about all the future resorts that may open….and it’s easy to see at least some value in direct benefits. I could see us at some point (when the right resort or incentive comes up), offloading ou
Following the Sanaa breakfast chat - we stay at Kidani this July and hope to maximize Sanaa’s offerings
We buy Incredipass for our out of state family of four. We visit over Christmas and we’re resale owners only, so it works for us. The discount as APs is equivalent most of the time to the DVC discount, which is nice too. We’ve had passes for 3 years and each year we try to go as many days as we can. Usually three weeks
Wow. Now that’s a tribute! Well, now I really feel like I missed out! The MK options are abysmal for quick service - I like some of the food but then some of the dining rooms are just pure chaos.
GF to ASM will be a change but I have to say I really enjoy the All Stars. We usually stay there on our arrival nights and love the theming and find the cast members to be extra welcoming. I know this wasn’t your question, but just affirming that AS Music is a great resort. Happy planning!
So reasonable for sure! I won’t feel like I’m missing out not staying on Crescent Lake, but I’m sure many would. We’ll happily stay at AKL, Poly, GF, etc. and who knows, when our BRV expires, we’ll see what’s happening in the market at that time.
It seems very possible Lakeshore Lodge may have similar resale restrictions as Riv, though I can understand why this is catching your interest. In looking at resale contracts, options at 7 months, and the frequency we want to visit - we have bought resale twice. If a resort comes online we’d hate to miss, I’ll rent poi
In park - Looove Baseline In a resort - Territory Lounge (also need to rack up many more visits to others!)
We just closed on our BRV add on contract after 2 stays over the past year. We absolutely love the theming, peaceful setting, and the beauty of the entire resort. Can’t wait to go “home” again soon, next time as an owner!
We loved Round Up Rodeo for a themed experience that was cheaper than a character meal. Great food quality and service too. This is the most “fun for the whole family place” for us that’s not a character meal (and we love those too). Other kid friendly Table Service experiences we’ve had - Whispering Canyon, Steakhouse
Agree that this is super disappointing. I really hope Disney and DVC will increase the online request options - what’s in MDE is minimal for most resorts. This also seems like it hurts Touring Plans, which is a bummer too.
