No more room requests effective 4-19 !

Based on some earlier posts in the thread it sounds like Disney is automating as much as possible, so I assume this will also reduce or eliminate the ability to email/chat requests for rooms. I hope they increase investment in MDE to allow more granular requests. Some are great (eg, BLT) but some aren’t (BRV).

Dining plan vs DVC Discount

We’re doing dining plan on our arrival night (we stay at all star because we get in late and move to DVC the next day). The plan feels like a bonus and makes the cups and first few eats feel (free), then discounts the rest of the trip.

Annual Passes or No?

We buy Incredipass for our out of state family of four. We visit over Christmas and we’re resale owners only, so it works for us. The discount as APs is equivalent most of the time to the DVC discount, which is nice too. We’ve had passes for 3 years and each year we try to go as many days as we can. Usually three weeks

Grand Floridian to All-Star Music (LOL)

GF to ASM will be a change but I have to say I really enjoy the All Stars. We usually stay there on our arrival nights and love the theming and find the cast members to be extra welcoming. I know this wasn’t your question, but just affirming that AS Music is a great resort. Happy planning!

On the fence about DVC resale...

So reasonable for sure! I won’t feel like I’m missing out not staying on Crescent Lake, but I’m sure many would. We’ll happily stay at AKL, Poly, GF, etc. and who knows, when our BRV expires, we’ll see what’s happening in the market at that time.

It seems very possible Lakeshore Lodge may have similar resale restrictions as Riv, though I can understand why this is catching your interest. In looking at resale contracts, options at 7 months, and the frequency we want to visit - we have bought resale twice. If a resort comes online we’d hate to miss, I’ll rent poi
