DVC 2,000 point club

I only have 715, not even at the 1000 point club. Envious of those who have 2000! :)

2,000? I vote comma club = any comma. Heck I'd even let people with 999 points join as members in waiting :)

We'll I guess I'd bite with just barely enough points to join at an even 2,000 points.......... Man I'm glad I bugged my guide to bump the VDH points from 350 to even it out or I'd be unworthy......

I thought going to 2,000 points might help some of us with our add on itis lol. I know you are very close to 2,000 from the other list. Much like @NVDISFamily said I like the idea of members in waiting.

Even though I am adding a smallish resale VGF, we are also likely to be reducing some of our Aulani. So…. I don’t see 2k in our future….. unless they make a DVC Yacht Club….

Does being in the 3,000 point club qualify for the 2,000 point club? VGF, RIV, Poly, Grand Cali, DLH, Aulani, Vero, and a little 100 point loaded Hilton Head we bought priced right that we are using a ton of points out of this summer and see if we keep it or not. We have 456 direct at DLH an 100 at Poly. We love Vero for the beach cottages. We also love Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian for summer stays. 2 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms eat a lot of points up.

It absolutely does! 3 bedrooms definitely eat a lot of points along with Cascade Cabins and bungalows but so worth it.

I love that you say yet lol. Add on itis gets us all. We like to do multiple trips a year in larger accommodations at WDW. We also sprinkle in special trips in 3 bedrooms, bungalows, cascade cabins, and Aulani in the 3 bedroom. I have thought about how long we could stay consecutively before using all the points and calculated how much it would be to live at WDW in a villa and it would be very costly. Fun fact to stay a year at the grand in a studio you would need more points than Disney will allow you to hold at one resort and over the total amount of points one can hold across multiple resorts without approval from Disney.

Not all.... but many of us who have a "few" points also own at the OG Mouse House (Disneyland Resort) and visit there often. I love and appreciate how much DVC is a Florida/WDW thing, but it does exist at DLR too :)

Mostly have this many points to treat family/friends to trips, help us have some awesome experiences such as staying in a few GVs for special events, etc. We make more trips to DLR and try and make two long trips to WDW in an annual cycle when we are doing our rotation to Flordia.

With our 3k points. We have about 45 nights booked over the next 11 months. A long trip over the summer including time at Hilton Head and Vero on the same trip to try out Hilton Head and or course Orlando. My wife is currently doing all the Run Disney races across all 4 weekends over the next 12 months. Theme park View 2 bedrooms are up to 149 points a weekend night at Poly over spring break so you can eat up points in a hurry. We have stayed in the Grand Floridian Grand Villa, Cascade Cabin and Vero Beach cottages over the last year. We will be likely booking Ocean View 2 bedroom or grand villa for summer of 2027 at Aulani. We bought 556 direct between Disneyland Hotel and Polynesian, the rest were all resale bought patiently and well. We look at it as a lesser investment than a vacation house in Florida with less annual costs as well and easy to scale back out of or change around if we desire. I own a business and have been blessed but still have to work a little remotely while gone as it can’t all wait until we get home.
