We prefer the original Deluxe Studios for the kitchenette and split bathroom layout when it's just the two of us (Paul and I). However, I'm taking my mom to Grand Floridian the first few nights of December and chose the Resort Studios so we each have our own Queen bed. Also, with those I could choose Theme Park view so

Not an owner, but SSR is in my top five DVC WDW resorts. I have always had a special place in my heart for it. It was the first DVC resort we ever stayed. I always find it beautiful, serene, and love all the space. I enjoy going for quiet, nature/tree filled walks on paved surfaces (lol) outdoors and SSR offers plenty
Saratoga vs Old Key West
Both have great things. Paul will always choose OKW over SSR any day, but I love SSR. I find the distance to Disney Springs great, I love the charm of the buildings, fountains, rocks, etc. in the architecture. And the quick service has been making serious strides on their food lately.
