Use Year - 25 / 26 / 27 clarification (based on December UY)
Ok - I may be confused but based on a December UY, you get points Dec 1 for 2026 but those are used BETWEEN Dec 1 2026 and November 30 2027 (disregard borrowing for this question). So if I wanted to buy a new resale contract, I would have to find a contract with 2025 points available to use this year unless I wanted to borrow?
Yes, December UY is one of the more confusing ones because the UY runs almost 1 year behind the actual calendar year. Dec UY contracts are currently in their 2025 UY.
Dec 2025 UY = 12/1/2025 - 11/30/2026
Dec 2026 UY = 12/1/2026 - 11/30/2027
Dec 2027 UY = 12/1/2027 - 11/30/2028

My first resale buy was dec use year. Now all three are dec use year. I developed a spreadsheet to help with the confusion you mentioned above. I’m didn’t help, so now I just wing it. lol
Yep, I made the brilliant move to sell my original 150 pt OKW contact a couple of decades ago….ugh
That's funny - yes, we're going to stick with December UY for the add-on contracts. That may not end up being too difficult if this first resale ends up being larger than initially planned.... or one of our kids will just inherit a larger account than the others. lol. (I'll give it to the youngest - she wants to stay at DW for a month!)
