Buying from family - OKW 2042

We have been considering buying more points since we originally bought 100 in 2019. We planned to buy a small contract at our home (CCV), but we haven't had the resources until now. Then in September we stayed in a 1BR for a week at BRV. The whole "once you go 1BR you never want to go back to a studio" is real! However, CCV seems hard to get a February use year with a small contract but maybe I haven't been looking long enough or carefully enough.

That said, my parents own 100 points at OKW and have been considering selling.

Things I'm thinking about but have no one else to ask:

When I look at other small, inexpensive contracts, I think "I'll never get a better deal than buying from my parents" but:

Will I regret buying 100 points that expire in 16 years?

I've looked at BRV but I didn't realize they expire in 2042 too!

We love OKW but I really don't want to stay there.

It looks like 1 bedrooms are fairly easy to secure other places at 7 months. Maybe?

Thoughts? Advice?

If the price is right, you wont regret it and as you said, you probably wont get a better deal and think of it as 16 years of memories of double the points you have today! OKW is one of the "useless" contracts to own betwen 7-11 months (and I say that as an OKW owner) but you absolutely can use those poitns others and will find availability, especially if you're ok with split stays. We've used our points at VDH even for a 1 bedroom! Dues aren't too bad either, not the greatest, not the worst by far.
