Welcome Home!!! Now you get that sweet sweet member add-on pricing!
Wow, it was definetly better when we joined with the OKW flash sale 2 years ago. There are now two years less between "now" and 2057 AND the price is going up. Welcome to DVC I guess :)
I wouldn't be surprised either way, I just don't see this happening for two reasons... at least not in the way everyone's thinking. LSL will be a premium offering and the cabins will dilute this... it's just two different clientele. If it is added to the CFW pool, then we're goign to have a 2042 problem again.. where m
Got a reseravtion for my birthday in July with friends that have never been, can't wait!
If you could provide any clarification that would be helpful. When you say bought, you mean a CCV contract? Or did you rent an existing reservation on the rental store? Or are you wanting 7-11 month booking priority at these other resorts? But in general, you can use CCV points to stay at SSR/AKV without issue (includi
Filing on 6/1 was probably on purpose as it probably starts some clock for sales/declare/etc. 876 rooms is amazing and as a DVC member exactly what i want to here, i.e. being able to use my points at more and more rooms. I wonder how it works long term is more and more resorts 'require' DVC membership or points usage (
I do bet FOMO kicks in as guides eventually start telling those on tour that Riviera direct from DVC is in its final days on sale, which is the only way anyone rational should actually buy Riviera.
DVC makes them money in multiple steps so it makes complete sense. They can rent out rooms via cash until they're declared, with no rush to do so. (See CFW) They make a ton of money on the rooms via DVC sales once declared. Then DVC members pay their dues which helps pay for the upkeep. So, while it's the new "hot" res
Does seem like things are working against you, eh :(. Lakeshore Lodge is calling... :)
Was abound to happen as it has happened many times before, this time just the longest between updates (major updates that is). This is way better than them closing the attraction entirely, which I believe was the plan at one point or two.
Will pick OKW every time due to the vibe... I will say that the SSR rooms are kind of on the level of Riveria since the refurb (although only have stayed ina 1 BR), so if you think those rooms at the Riveria but don't relaly "need" the vibe (or skyliners) then SSR is a fairly decent resort, especailly for the price!
And this is a very good thing IMO.. Aulani of the east. I wonder if it does hurt Aulani sales at all even more?
Saving some points to stay there asap!
We got our tickets for 10/2.. the last DVC discount day and still in October.. was able to get a Riviera Studio for that night as well :)
That's quite the split stay move. I felt the same going from Disneyland Hotel -> Pixar Pier.. i.e. I wonder how many split between those two resorts happen on a regular basis? :D
Fireworks showtimes have been announced and it's all 3 days across Epcot and Magic Kingdom: Walt Disney World July 4 Fireworks Show schedule Disney's Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky: July 3, 4, and 5 at 9pm (Magic Kingdom) The Heartbeat of Freedom: July 3, 4, and 5 at 9:15pm (EPCOT)
You can certainly do both, but it might be one of those the sum is lesser than the parts. It also depends on what you want to do, i.e. are you trying to get all the ride in, etc? We're local and go for a few hours at a time when we go, but if I was traveling in, I still would not park hop. Both Epcot and HS are full da
December, its what they gave us. So glad they did because it resets for the busiest times of year. January would have bene good too because we don't really book in December anyway.
Completely agree and this one is actually huge and should not be taken lightly. As time goes on, resale value should be weighed against usable resorts. If you're ok with the existing inventory before Riviera, by all means, but with every new resort the FOMO will kick in (for me at least:))
