Grand Floridian — Joke’s on you, contract!

So… I wasn’t planning on buying another contract.

Truly. Honestly. Scout’s honor.

But there was this Grand Floridian contract (a little baby! Only 25 points!) that just would not stop laughing at me. Every time I looked at it, I swear I could hear it whisper, “you’ll never buy me.”

Well… joke’s on you, contract. 😏

It’s been about two years since my last flare-up of add-on-itis, but this one hit hard and fast. Before I knew it, I was rationalizing point charts like it was my full-time job.

Of course, we did our due diligence and checked in with @DVCDerek to make sure there weren’t any hidden monsters attached to it. Not that we actually expected any… but you know, you don’t skip the monster check. That’s just responsible ownership.

From there, things moved at lightning speed:

- 4/3 – Offer submitted, paperwork signed, sent off to Disney

- 4/10 – ROFR waived

- 4/14 – Closing documents received

- 4/16 – Officially closed 🎉

- 4/22 – Points loaded (!!)

NINETEEN days.

I guess that extra $500 to speed things along actually did something—who knew?

Anyway, I’ve officially re-entered the world of “well, since we have these points…” planning.
