Credit Cards for DVC Megathread

Hey all! Back in Feb, I used my Chase Sapphire Preferred to make a payment towards my dvc stay via DVC Rental Store. The charge tracked as "Business Services" within the Travel category, but I got 1x points for it. Would it not be 2x on travel?

Thankfully, it was just the $100 down deposit to secure the rental stay, and then shortly after that I busted a tooth and needed the whole thing replaced so I'm just now getting around to paying off my remaining balance. But I'm now wondering if I should use a different card, since I didn't receive the 2x. It's going to be about $5-6k, so it's going to be substantial points.

Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts??

Very much into the credit card points game. It's been really helpful in terms of getting down to WDW. Getting the companion pass through SW has been very helpful. Being able to use DVC points and book flights on points makes it much easier to justify the long weekend trips.

We get a new credit card each month. Once we hit a sign up bonus, we move on to a new card. It has allowed us to take 4 international trips over the last 3 years booking hotels and flights with points. We have been able to visit DLP and Tokyo Disney thanks to Travel Hacking

We aren’t into that much, but I get what you’re doing. We do it as well.

There is currently a deal through 9/10/26 that if you use Paze at checkout with certain retailers, you get $10 off $10. Big ones for us are Dominos, Little Caesar's, Wendys, Dunkin and Sephora. A few other options but most would be hard to just spend $10-$20.
