DVC Field guide
Do any of you utilize the DVC field guide? What are the perks for you? Is it worth the cost?

Personally, I think you can get just as good information if not better and more up to date by asking the many experts we have in the DVC Fan Community versus buying a book, but I haven't personally bought the DVC Field Guide book or read it.

I found DVC Field Guide very useful in my first couple of years of membership. In one place, it had all the common sense tips it would have taken me much more time to absorb. I've recommended it to several friends exploring DVC membership, and most have said it was very useful to them.
Might not be helpful for DVC members of many years, but I feel its a great and reasonably priced tool for newbies.

I've looked at their online resort availability predictor. Curious if it's still accurate?

I was curious of this DVC Field Guide too, glad someone else was thinking the same thing.

I thought it was definitely worth the $18 and change I paid for it. I really like the way they organize the charts and graphs. The way the information is categorized, it makes it easy to reference specific subjects without having to read through the whole thing. My 2 cents..
I love the Field Guide and really think its a no brainer purchase for new members. It isnβt expensive and has tons of good info. A few years in you may not need it so often, but I still refer to mine.
I find their availability tables to be amazing. I look at them very often. And, the field guide itself does have a lot of in-depth information on each resort that makes the money well worth it IMO. You will get a lot of details on each resort - history, locations of rooms, room inventory, etc. I also think they have gone to so much work to put together their information that I really like supporting what they do.
I also am happy with my purchase of the Field Guide and have made good use of their online spreadsheets and other resources. The availability predictor and tables in the publication are very helpful. They are great planning resources. I used them to plan my 2027 trips as well as my 2028 Aulani trip planning.
