Handing off stays?

While there is a DVC Fan FB group for cancelled reservations for this kind of situation, we don't have a specific thread yet, but feel free to start one! Success rates of the FB group for coordinating have been hit or miss, but it's always worth a shot!

If people have dates waitlisted, wouldn't the canceled reservation first go to the waitlist before being eligible for a new booking?

Sometimes it does, but since it doesn't constantly check, sometimes you can be fast enough to scoop up a reservation before the waitlist does.

That is good to know. It you are looking for something specific to keep checking, even if you are on the waitlist.

Yes! So-called stalking the site does pay off.

So update on that- I tried to do it on facebook, and every time I tried to explain it to people, they thought I was trying to sell the vacation or book it and transfer it to them. So a bunch of non-dvc members thought I was just giving away a free vacation. I got so annoyed that I just dropped it lol. I am glad people know what I am talking about here.
