Moonlight Magic @ Hollywood Studios - April 22nd, 2026 Event Thread

As we get closer to the event, what's everyone's favorite way to use the snack voucher at HS?

The Jack-Jack's Num Num Cookie from the Market is a favorite for me as well as the Mickey brownie sundae from Hollywood Scoops and the pineapple-coconut slushy from the Market. I know that's a lot of sweets, so if anyone has any savory recommendations, I'm all ears!

We’re so excited that our trip this year aligned with the Hollywood Studios Moonlight Magic We were one of the groups that tried to reserve and the system had glitched . Disney assured me that we have been registered - fingers crossed

Did you receive a confirmation email (check spam too)? I think people who got the glitch had received registration emails before general registration started.

We have our first moonlight magic tickets for Hollywood Studios this week. Excited to see what it is all about. Looking for any and all tips :)

I’ve reached out to Disney and I have confirmed chats that there was issues with their email and so not everyone was going to receive an email but they did confirm that I have been registered because I tried to register during the general registration and it told me I was already registered- really hope we’re gonna be able to make it. We’re looking forward to it.

Anyone Know when we’ll receive the official invite? I thought I recall from an AK MM event it was like the day before.

Rise of the Resistance, about which I knew squat, is incredible. The drama and spectacle make you feel part of the story, a thrilling one. Even if you’ve ridden it umpteen times, that you can get onto the ride in hardly any time is a thrill, too.

Strongly suggest you eat dinner in the park for that MK holiday parties early arrival advantage. So much easier being already there when rides and the free Mickey bars become available.

We’ll be there, too! If you see a guy in a bright red powerchair who’s wearing a Hitchhiking Ghosts fedora, that’s us. Do say hi if you spot these two characters.

Yes, it will be like a day or so before. I don't expect to see any know before you go info until next week.

Usually the week of the event, 2-3 days beforehand- sometimes the day before.

We just did our first MM last November at Animal Kingdom. It was SOO much fun. The two biggest tips I could offer are:

1) Take the time to enjoy the 'special stuff' the DJ's, Character Dance parties, etc are a blast...even just to watch, but you're never too old to join in!

2) Don't save your snack tickets until the end...the lines will get very long very quick. By the time I got to order some of the things we wanted were sold out.

How was the event? Hoping to go to the Moonlight Magic at HS in July.

I didn't get to stay long at all since I had my toddler with me, but WALL-E was so adorable moving and talking, and I was happy to see Ian and Barley from Onward from afar! I also snagged some tasty treats like the wookie cookie, Jack Jack's num num cookie, brownie sundae, popcorn, pretzel, and churro.

I feel like HS Moonlight Magic is the one event where it is somewhat harder to use your snack coupons since there aren't a ton of places to redeem them. Some places closed at 9pm before the event officially started, and some ran out of snacks early. For example, the stand with churros near the Chinese Theater was down to the last 2 churros by about 10pm.

Not as good as Epcot imho, but it was still good!

Snack Coupons: 2/5 - there aren't enough snack options and some of them close at 8pm before the park even closes, more close at 9pm when the park closes and they constantly sell out of snacks like the Jack Jack Num Num Cookie.

Character Meet & Greets: 4/5 - DVC did a great job picking characters this year, Wall-E was a highlight for sure but they also had Onward characters, C3PO, R2-D2 and Chewbacca - not sure why but character lines were way longer than Epcot was, maybe not enough to do?

Entertainment: 4/5 - A private showing of Fantasmic just for Moonlight Magic is amazing and imho beats the special Epcot fireworks. You can show up 5 mins beforehand and get great seats that you'd normally have to buy a dinner package for. The rest of the entertainment options weren't bad either, the DJ Dance Party featured Mickey & friends dancing (normally they're in the Disney Junior area but due to construction they were outside).

Rides: 3/5 - I didn't ride many rides since we were able to ride a lot of rides during the day, but the waits were pretty good for most rides. If rides are what you want to do, I think this rating would be a lot higher and you could ride a ton.

Overall: 4/5 - If I'm comparing it to Animal Kingdom & Epcot I would say this is better than Animal Kingdom but worse than Epcot. Have never been to Moonlight Magic for DCA.
