First Non DW Trip-Disneyland or Disneyland Paris
Thanks all for the input! I was initially leaning toward Paris because of the Spring Break impact in Cali....but you've all made great points and convinced me otherwise :)

We have always rented a stroller and have used three separate companies. Our experience with both Orlando Stoller Rentals and Kingdom Strollers were fine. Nothing great nothing terrible, but our last trip we used Polar Strollers and they were AWESOME the stroller was the cleanest of any we'd ever had and the staff was
We too didn't buy for studios....so I was coming to say I think it is more than 200, but I do think you are correct. Most go the studio route so 200 pts goes much further.
This Is the way hahaha But seriously, if you constantly find yourself borrowing you will eventually run into the scenario where you've borrowed all of your next year's points to cover this year's trip and then you are stuck. In a similar vain to what @jimmymc stated, if a split stay is not something that interests you,
Happy to help! Feel free to post any questions here or DM me.
Sorry for the double tap reply but just catching up on the thread. You should check out my Freak in the Sheets thread. I specifically was comparing contracts/resorts on value staying at other resorts vs home resorts. And Poly is terrible for home resorts stays due to the point chart but it is great for staying at other
Would love to see your math on this (not challenging just curious to see it). By my calculations within 5 years Poly Direct and SSR Resale are only ~$10 different in cost per stay which makes Poly the clear better value. DVC is an emotional purchase so math isn’t all that matters, but I don’t see a way that SSR carries
Let me know what you think! If it doesn’t suit your needs PM me and we’ll get your use case incorporated! I think this thread could be valuable because I know how much time I spend on that one double and triple checking it (I 100% not so secretly enjoyed it though)…no sense for folks to reinvent the wheel!
Welcome! All DVC resorts are Deluxe Resorts...so as soon as you join you are staying Deluxe :) If by saving you mean saving up points, you can bank points one year later and borrow points one year forward, so some folks buy 1/3 of the points they need and go once every 3 years and some buy half the points they need and
O-H Popcorn bucket! I can't believe I didn't think of this!
@DVCPointSorcerer71 's strategy of applying the 'extra' pay checks toward your loan is HUGE. Folks often take a similar strategy with their traditional 30-year mortgage by making bi-weekly payments rather than monthly payments. Depending on your interest rate this can save you anywhere from 15-28% on finance charges an
100% We love it; we stumbled upon it one year and met a few other families that first time that all said they go that same week each year. Now we haven't stopped going that week either. Crowds aren't too bad, weather is normally perfect (although it did rain the ENTIRE week one year), and all the Holiday decorations ar
Do you leave your locker at bell services, or do they deliver/pick up twice? I've seen conflicting reports different places if bell services will hold the locker while you are on the cruise. Still wouldn't warrant us upgrading to the deluxe plan, just interested :)
I too love the screen idea! Also have you ever had any issues with the electric cook top? I was considering bringing a small old air fryer, but the "no small appliance" policy had me reconsidering.
Right, this is where I am trying to remain a bit optimistic. I am a Data Management/Analytics consultant that has implemented agents that perform tasks just like this, it just will take some time and iterations, but AI is perfect for this task,
Thanks all!, The Brita Pitcher and liquid hand soap are great ideas that I hadn’t considered! I too think I’ll toss in an air tag for good measure.
It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. I very recently signed up for TP and found it odd that they even had the ability to automate these room requests for you. From someone who works in the Data Space, this is actually a task very well suited for AI. The simple categories/priorities folks can set when chec
Have to say my Disney steak experience is limited...I learned long ago that my favorite steaks are usually the ones I cook myself (and far cheaper I might add), so I don't often order at restaurants. However, the filet at Topolino's was phenomenal the one time I ordered it.
I'm sure this will offend the Figment lovers....but I'd love to see Inside Out take over Imagination Pavillion. Let those characters be the focal point and tastefully weave in some Figment. I also think converting Gran Fiesta Tour to Coco would be cool, but this would probably require a major overhaul to the entire pav
We just did our first MM last November at Animal Kingdom. It was SOO much fun. The two biggest tips I could offer are: 1) Take the time to enjoy the 'special stuff' the DJ's, Character Dance parties, etc are a blast...even just to watch, but you're never too old to join in! 2) Don't save your snack tickets until the en
