DVC at Cotino: If they built it, would you come?

The new Disney Cotino Storying Living community in Rancho Mirage California has two hotels approved in the plans for the community. If Disney built a DVC Hotel there, would you buy it as your home resort? Would you use your points there? What kind of pools and amenities would cause you to be more interested?

While I wouldn't buy points there, I would definitely consider using my points there! I live in SoCal and head to Palm Springs for a long weekend about once a year. It would be great to have a DVC option there.

I’d stay nearly anywhere Disney put a resort- get to explore a new place with Disney service- sign me up. Unless it was on the moon. I can’t handle Mission Space Orange…

Stay? Sure, once or twice maybe. Buy? Definitely not, for the same reason I'd never buy HH or VB. We bought DVC for being in the bubble and access to the parks. At a beach or other resort location I'm just as happy in a rental house. Aulani is the only non park DVC we'd consider because it helps make Hawaii more affordable. Not judging those who do, that's just our preference.
