We used the OTU points, and the lounge perks. Also added an additional person to our cabin on the member cruise. The change would have cost 99.00 but it was wavied because we are MMB members. Paid for itself right there. I agree with others, that it could be so much more. I would like to see a special check in line for
I’m not an expert on thus topic but I seem to recall hearing on the podcast that it us easier to have the same use year with the exception of having points at a resort that you plan on using specifically at that property. As you mentioned, AUL or a Disneyland resort that the points won’t generally be used at WDW.
We purchased 200 direct points at the Riviera in Sept of 2020. We went direct thinking it would be our one and only purchase. We had taken the skyliner by the Riviera, but had never been inside. I have also found the notification to be hit or miss. One time, DVC actually called me. I was shocked. I would continue to check your waitlisted dates manually. There have been a few times that I have found the room I needed before the waitlist cleared.
We were on the Wish DVC member cruise with you, but I was too shy and didn't want to "bother" you while on board. I attended the last fall fest so I will definitely say hello the next time I see you.
Excellent MaleficentUK! My adult son, 26, is coming along and we recently added his long time girlfriend to the trip. This will be our third member cruise. Be sure to save space in your luggage for all the "freebies" that will be given.
We also purchased the Riviera sight unseen, but felt the aesthetic and skyliner location would suit us, and we weren't wrong. We are working our way around staying at all the DVC resorts, but always find ourselves wanting to go home to the Riviera on our next stay.
