I think approaching 2042 will be the real test on resale restrictions. If I was a betting man, with Disney's recent obsession with money over quality/experience, when they re-deed the 2042 resorts they will all have resale restrictions.

I just hope they put in a proper bar, that's the biggest drawback for us. I know Disney Springs is close, but it's nice to be able to stop down at the end of the day.

For me: Best burger on property - I'll echo Geyser Point Best wings - either Bar Riva or Banana Cabana Possibly hidden gem - You can get trattoria's food delivered to Abracadbar when it's open.
I'll echo Wailulu bar is amazing for food and drinks, the bartenders are also great and personable. Sometimes if we are on the monorail loop we will just pop in for a drink.
Riviera owner since 2021 here. Our favorite resort, with Poly and AKL in a close second.
I'll just add my 2 cents. Not sure how long term you realistically plan to have the contract. We were younger (low 30s) when we bought and decided to go direct. a) We wanted Riviera without the restrictions b) We plan to keep the contract and after 2042, not sure how limited options will be for resale members.
