What is your hidden gem restaurant at Disney?
Restaurants get talked about a lot and there are the ones that are always difficult to reserve because they're so popular. Whats your one hidden gem restaurant that isn't crowded yet has great food?
I'll say Geyser Point is probably more well known around here, but whenever I've gone I've never had to wait and that Bison burger really is good. Its always a nice reprieve to hop on a boat from MK to Wilderness Lodge and enjoy the relative calm at Geyser Point.

I agree Geyser point is the best !!!
We did eat at Geyser Point once and it was very good! A chill spot and they even had some NFL games on.
Jaleo is absolutely delicious. It does not get as much love as many of the other good Disney Springs places (Boathouse, Homecomin', Wine Bar George etc...).
For a character meal, it is Garden Grill. the food is delicious. you spend the meal rotating around the Land. Character interactions are plentiful. And it's in EPCOT so you don't need to disrupt your park day.
Olivia's is also solid, probably more well known among the DVC crowd.
In the parks we really like ABC over some of the more popular places at HS.
Being from Jersey we judge Italian food very harshly- yet we really enjoyed our food at Trattoria al forno.
At the Poly, why go to Ohana when you can get almost all the same food at Tambu Lounge?
Finally this is not an under the radar place but California Grill is sometimes unfairly called overrated and I could not disagree more. It's a gorgeous space with tremendous food and the fireworks view is amazing. We really thought it gave us a better viewpoint than being in MK. It is not cheap but it's also very easy to spend that amount of money at Disney without any of the upside that Cali Grill provides.

No trip would be complete without going to Wailulu at the Poly. We liked being able to just walk up and put our name in the list (like Gyser Point). We are not as big a fan of the change that requires a dining reservation. The bar is fist come first serve but it seems like it is always very busy.
I really love Sanaa. It also has a great breakfast.
Sanaais my #1 fave restaurant in all of WDW , and their breakfast is 100% a hidden gem

Agreed, Wailulu is my 2nd fave lounge ( after Enchanted Rose). Their drinks are really good, and I love their bowls for lunch or dinner

Along with the others that have already been mentioned, I personally think Sebastian's Bistro is underrated. The food is good, and the price, considering it's an all you care to eat family style meal on Disney property is very reasonable. Oh, and the coconut pineapple bread pudding is sooooo good!

Goofy's Breakfast at The Four Seasons, Ravello! The very best food and character interactions!

My wife and I ate at Primo Piatto which I don't see a lot of fanfare about, but we thought it was great. I saw someone say Sebastian's and agree with that as well.
A good single item hidden gem (if it is still available) is the key lime pie at Gideon's.
I'll throw a lounge in too. Outer Rim at the Contemporary was excellent when my wife and I were there last summer. We did a monorail crawl of Outer Rim, Wailulu, and Enchanted Rose and the drinks we got at Outer Rim were our favorites.

I thought about saying Wailulu Bar & Grill but the new reservations only made me reconsider it as a hidden gem. I do like the food at Wailulu though!

Agree with @Ryan C and everyone else on Geyser point and @SavannaViewsOnly on Tambu lounge. Both are excellent.
For us, it’s leave Magic Kingdom at lunchtime when everyone is running to Casey’s and take the monorail over to the Contemporary and get the stack burger at Steakhouse 71. Last time we went there it was dead around lunchtime.

We've never had a problem getting bar seating if that helps. And we walked up and got a table for 4 a few weeks ago

Would have said GF Cafe about 10 years ago until they went to that brunch menu that has almost nothing we each like. Had a yukky dinner there last trip. Too bad. We have glowing memories of the lobster Thermidor burger years ago, topped with a whole claw’s meat. Ohhhh, my! Not like that will return. < sniffle! >
We enjoy Ale & Compass breakfast. Important to note we like to help open the place, so it may get crowded later. Pretty good food, nice buffet side dishes if you want to accompany your entree and decent service.

Oh! I feel like everyone in this community is so well-informed that I’m not sure I could discover a hidden gem. However, I’d say that every trip we try to visit something new to keep things exciting and fresh.
On our last trip, we finally visited Boathouse, where I tried their steak sliders. Those are top notch and I’ll be back for those.
While Crystal Palace isn’t new to me, I finally went for breakfast and tried their churro waffles. They were definitely not disappointing, especially when paired with soft-serve ice cream.
We also went to the Garden Grove at Swan and Dolphin for Easter brunch, where they had an incredible brisket carving station and all-you-can-eat macarons that my kids absolutely loved.
Garden Grove doesn’t often have buffets, but the next one is Mother’s Day. If anyone’s interested in trying it, I highly recommend it. I thought it was well worth the money and was reasonably priced for kids at $20. They even let my 12 y/o have the kids’ price without me asking, which was very kind of them. When they host the brunch, you can make reservations by calling them. I had to make changes to my reservation twice, but they were incredibly accommodating. I showed up early, and they promptly seated us. It was a top-notch experience that I highly recommend.

I am biased and it may not be a popular take, but I think that amongst quick/counter service restaurants, The Gasparilla Grill is excellent. It never seems to be as busy as the offerings at the other monorail loop resorts, and even if I’m wrong, I would swear the quality is high by comparison to similarly situated options.

For my family, it's Chef Art's Smith Homecomin'
I'm not saying it's the best restaurant on property. And being from Alabama, I know can find better "home cooking" on any corner...
However, Having a daughter who loves Mac and cheese more than life itself, she cant wait to get her skillet of that cheesy Mac and cheese when we go! And It also holds a special place for my wife and I because it was the first place we ate at on our first ever trip together! So it's one of our favs!
Also, those Thigh High Chicken Biscuits!!

Between Garden Grove and Rosa Mexicano, the Swan/Dolphin actually have some good, reasonably priced brunch or breakfast buffets! I guess along those same lines, the Fountain at the Dolphin can be a hidden gem if you're looking for an alternative to Beaches and Cream and just want burgers and ice cream without a reservation. Yes, it doesn't have the same atmosphere or the kitchen sink, but it's pretty good.
I don't know if it's a hidden gem exactly, but Wine Bar George is one place I love that doesn't always get mentioned. Don't be fooled by the limited food menu. Love brunch, lunch, or dinner there, and it's probably the only place I ever go out of my way to have a drink. That Froscato is basically like drinking melted Dole Whip but so good!
Happy to call the BoardWalk, Bay Lake Tower, and Grand Floridian home!

@ScottElias that's awesome to hear! Now I'm craving Sebatian's lol. My wife and I have our next short DVC weekend scheduled next week at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. Maybe I'll try to find some time to book dinner over at Sebastian's :)

Trattoria and sanaa for breakfast.
Cape May or Topolinos for character dining.
Geyser point or yak and yeti for dinner.
My family is breakfast eaters and the boys will have their fill at trattoria. It has become an annual tradition for us.

Nice, I haven't tried recently - but maybe will give it a go when we're down in June.
A bunch of folks have mentioned Trattoria Al Forno - and I forgot but I do agree I think that is a hidden gem that is usually easy to get a table at and has pretty good food.

My daughters both love Sanaa and we seem to go there once on every Disney trip. I really loved Wailulu and cannot wait to go back. As far as quick service goes - Gasparilla, Artist’s Palette, and The Mara are our top three.
Ale and Compass for breakfast is excellent and good value as it comes with a breakfast buffet of sorts. Last summer getting 40% off with the special DVC discount was a bonus.
Tiffins at AKL Is also excellent, going there this May with 40% off DVC discount🤩
