This is a big idea. If they ever embrace the monorail again. Its iconic to the resort. It should be at least modernized and if expanded this would be great.

I love this resort and agree the layout and landscaping make it so peaceful and beautiful. However, I don’t like having to walk around at night. You have to walk by so many ponds and I get freaked out that there’s a gator I’m not seeing that’s closer to the path than I would want them to be!
You make two great points - better breakfast options in the parks for sure but also its worth noting moderates have better QS than Deluxe resorts. I feel like they should be of equal caliber. Many of the Deluxe resort QS are tiny and in the case of Boardwalk I’m not sure they even have one?
I heard the Mary Poppins ride was just going to be a teacups type ride not a dark ride? If that really was the case im ok that they scrapped it. Not every park has to feel like another Magic Kingdom land.
On a related note - I totally get wanting to retire into the Disney bubble and its not an uncommon strategy to spend long stretches of time in DVC units (they do make you check out and check in once a month and will not give you the same room). Once you’ve really looked at the charts, anything under 125ish is really more of an every other year ownership. Which by the way isnt a bad way to go - even if you go every year. You can score a great deal at a moderate for that non DVC year stay!
If you are buying to future proof - buy more points than you think you need. If you think your points don’t go far at Polynesian, wait until Lakeshore charts come out! Also those trapped Riviera resale points will push the cost of a stay there way up - the competition for the low points rooms and seasons will be fierce

100% agree. The DVC owner is the most loyal Parks & Experiences customer there is. Aside from Golden Oak residents (very few), DVC membership is as “put your money where your mouth is” gets.
