Thanks for posting those, everything looks great.
We just finalized our second resale contract for SSR! Addonitis really got us :)
We still haven't stayed there as we have used our points for other resorts but visited it for the first time over the 4th of July. The size was a bit intimidating but I imagine it is easier to navigate once you are staying there. Very excited to stay someday.

When you stay there, stay at the Grand Stand (specifically in the 8500 building). It's easy on the points because it is considered "Standard View" but it is actually closer to the Carriage House than some of the Springs buildings which are "Preferred View." Plus in the 8500 building you are right outside the pool with the Backstretch Pool Bar.
^We love the Grandstand! Its our favorite section

Thanks for the tip! How do you go about requesting that?

When you are doing online check in on My Disney Experience there is a tab for room requests. You can also call DVC and they will log your request.
I am curious what is the best way to navigate the bus stops at Saratoga Springs, we have little ones and being on a bus is already challenging given all the gear and tired kiddos. Is it best to get off at a certain one and walk or try to get a certain building? Appreciate any help!

Bus Strategy is the number one reason you stay at the Grand Stand. It is the first bus stop so that is great when coming back from the parks and you are tired.
However, it is also an easy walk to the last bus stop (the Springs) which gives you a choice when going to the parks. If it is early morning and the busses are crowded because people are going to the parks for rope drop then you get on the bus at the Grand Stand. This guarantees you a seat and it ensures you are not left hanging like the poor suckers at the Springs bus stop sometimes are because the bus is already full and therefore it doesn't stop at the Springs (yes I've seen this happen). However, if it is mid-day or it is a non-peak time (not sure those exist anymore) you can chose to walk to the Springs bus stop and get on the bus at the Springs and skip the internal bus loop.
The bus loop is as follows:
Grandstand
Carousel
Paddock
Congress Park
Springs
Like was said before me, if you're trying to rope drop or peak times you might be faced with full bus and it does happen but in my opinion not often. If you've got kids and gear 99% of the time just take the stop closest to your room and you'll be fine. You can always make a room request to help you be where you want and the resort is really large so there is a good chance you can get what you ask for.
I almost always ask to be by the Paddock pool, the bus stop is at the Paddock pool which is zero entry with a hot tub and also has a water slide and area for the little ones. There's a small food offering and refill station for your mugs as well as the bridge going directly to the main pool and lobby which would be maybe a 5 minute walk from each other. I added a map for your reference, hope this helps and you have a great trip with your family.
