Kidani Village, HANDS DOWN! The splash pad area is huge and so much fun! My kids absolutely love it!! I would not recommend Stormalong Bay for your group. You have to exit the pool area to use the slide, and there are blind spots. Unless you have a 1:1 ratio of adults to kids or better OR you’ve got older kids (9-10+ y
We have our first Island Tower stay coming up in July! It couldn’t have opened at a better time—our fourth little just turned 3 last fall, so we’re officially a 2-bedroom family from here on out! Excited to try Wailulu, watch the fireworks, and enjoy the pool on this trip!
We are big parks people, but I love all the amenities at Riviera. They have a very active community hall, a nice pool, and the courtyard has a giant chessboard and other games. If you’re planning to buy direct, it’s super easy to get a reservation at 7 months at Animal Kingdom and Saratoga, so you can always mix it up
We took my husband’s parents for our “Welcome Home” stay back in 2017 and they were SHOCKED at how huge WDW is. I think they were honestly expecting a Six Flags hahaha. So jealous that you get to go so often! We both work full-time, but we usually manage to do two weeklong trips each year and have snuck in a third visi
We’re still a longggggggg ways off from that, but I suspect we’ll do a combination of empty nest trips and big family trips (similar to how my parents use their points now).
They compliment each other really well! There are quite a few of us Riviera-Polynesian owners!
We held out as long as possible, and even put all of us in a Polynesian studio when our littlest was still under 3 and it was TIGHT! Definitely grateful for the extra space, but sad that it means less trips. 😢 One more reason to buy more points I guess 🤣🤣
@Mrs. Nesbitt We travel often with my parents, who are OG DVC members, but we usually end up staying in separate rooms these days. When I was a kid, we’d invite friends and relatives and get a grand villa, which was so much fun! I’m looking forward to doing that when the kids are a little older. 💗
Our must-do every trip is 50s PrimeTime Cafe to see Aunt Elaine! Other favorites that are regularly on the rotation are Topolino’s breakfast, Akershus breakfast, 1900 Park Fare, Skipper Canteen, and Whispering Canyon Cafe. We had Boma on our last trip for the first time and it will definitely be in the mix going forwar
I have actually really liked wearing my spirit jerseys in July for the extra coverage from the sun, and being a little loose gives me some air circulation. I pair them with an athletic romper or bike shorts and a cap with my ears over top (which helps alleviate the tightness on my head too). My husband has recently con
Riviera owner since 2021, bought a second Riviera contract in 2024. Our first contract is at the Polynesian. I love both of them so much for very different reasons! I’ve noticed there are a lot of members that own at both resorts. I love swinging by Le Petit Café in the morning and grabbing a shaken espresso and banana
Agreed. We bought in 2016 and were a family of three at the time. We’re now a family of six and our littlest is no longer considered an infant, and those 150 points don’t go anywhere near far enough for a 2-bedroom. We’re hoping to add another contract soon to give us enough to go for a week at least every other year,
We also own at Riviera and Polynesian, but we bought Polynesian first! 🌸🥐💗
