If Disney were actually to build a 5th gate or expand Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios to add more attractions and lands, what is an underutilized IP that you'd like to see? What's a new non-IP that could work? I'll post mine in the comments:

Animal Kingdom could really benefit with more attractions. I'd like to see an Australia or South Pacific/Oceana land. Tie in some Moana or Nemo, but not too heavy. Australian and New Zealand critters. Similar to Gorilla Falls and Maharajah Jungle Trek, have a Walkabout through the Outback with kangaroos, koalas, etc.

Hollywood Studios needs to be more fleshed out. If they want to go with the hodgepodge collection of lands, then just go all in. Abandon the "Studios" theming and just go the Epic Universe route. Add in some Zootopia, Wreck it Ralph, and more and just rebrand.

Agree with all you said. I love the Australia/New Zealand and South Pacific ideas for AK. I'm okay with light IP theming there like you mentioned with Moana and Nemo, but I'd also love to explore more contents and their wildlife. I'd love to see them lean into their National Geographic ties and do an Antarctica section which I know sounds weird in Florida, but they could do it well.

I think the success of the Nintendo IP in parks should give them reason to look at Kingdom Hearts. I also think they aren't using Lorcana to their best advantage.

This isn't a new idea, but I'd love for them to take Tomorrowland Speedway and change it into a Wreck-It Ralph race ride.

As for Hollywood Studios, I'd like a dark ride featuring Fantasia with minor drops/thrills. Intensity like Pirates, for example.

I think there are a couple of IP's that would work for both of them. For Animal Kingdom I would include some more Jungle Book, Tarzan, and Brother Bear. And for purely selfish reasons this is where I want Kuzcotopia to go.

For Hollywood Studios I would include Roger Rabbit. There is not a Disney IP that screams Hollywood as much as Roger Rabbit. I think The Incredibles, Wreck-It-Ralph, and Big Hero 6 would also be three IP's that would fit really well in Hollywood Studios. This may not go over well and I don't particularly care about it, but I think a Descendants show/musical may do very well in place of Beauty and the Beast or Indiana Jones.

Meet the Robinsonโ€™s is an underrated film, that although wasnโ€™t a commercial success, was one of my favorites. I always thought they could have incorporated some of that IP into Tomorrow Landโ€ฆprobably unlikely now. Being a child of the 80โ€™sโ€ฆI would have loved to see the old Saturday and afternoon cartoons incorporated into a space at AK or Hollywoodโ€ฆGummi Bears, Duck Tales, etc . Heyโ€ฆIโ€™m all for nostalgia lol ๐Ÿ˜‚

There are many Marvel characters in NYC, but not many in WDW. A Marvel Universe NYC theme as the next new land at Hollywood Studios. Please connect it to Sunset Blvd to have a reason to turn right at rope drop. Tower of Terror is incredible, but is not much else going on in that direction when the park opens.

Also, we could add Wakanda to Africa near the Pandora area, away from the Safari and wildlife trail.

I'm sure this will offend the Figment lovers....but I'd love to see Inside Out take over Imagination Pavillion. Let those characters be the focal point and tastefully weave in some Figment.

I also think converting Gran Fiesta Tour to Coco would be cool, but this would probably require a major overhaul to the entire pavilion to make it worth while....wouldn't want just a reskin of the very slow boat ride.

Having two young daughters that are in love with the series...I think its a huge miss if they don't include some Descendants elements in Villain's land....heck the Isle of the Lost was their get out of jail free card (albeit modern and not classic animated) to be able to incorporate all the villains seamlessly into a single land.

It would be great for HS to get back to its roots so I REALLY think a new, fifth gate that follows a model similar to Epic Universe would be awesome...immersive lands are clearly the future and having the 'portals' alleviates imagineering from needing to create seamless transitions. Give us OG Star Wars (Tatooine/Hoth/Endor's Forest Moon), possibly a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Land for the kids, finally some more Marvel in FL, and I wouldn't even mind overlapping some lands with similar settings/time periods ie Moana/Lilo & Stich, Big Hero 6/Wall-E (looking at you @GreyhoundDad22 ).

If/when they build a 5th gate, it needs to be something that competes with Universal. So, what positive reputation does Universal have that WDW doesn't? Rides. Universal is known for having more "intense" rides. So have a 5th gate that is focused on more "intense" rides, while also making sure it keeps that unique Disney feeling. Maybe call it "Heroes and Beyond", or something that sets the tone of adventure and "epic-ness" (not a real word, I know...lol). They could cross over between all the Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and Disney franchises to cherry pick the movies (and even moments in movies) and IP that would lend themselves to the theming of big/intense rides. If you look at all the franchises that Disney owns, there are a TON of options that would fit into the "Heroes and Beyond" theme and be perfect for more intense rides.

Of course, mix in less intense rides for those guests who don't want that (or can't ride those). But there should be 3-4 really intense rides that would be able to compete with those Universal rides. Then mix in other less intense rides for the little ones, like Hercules (keeping with the Heroes theme) and similar IP themed rides.
