HI Fred from Morgantown! You may know this but we are from Wheeling, WV. I always love seeing fellow West Virginians in the DVC space. Also jealous you got to do Expedition Everest runs!

The Expedition Everest runs were a blast!! My kids were probably 12 and 10 or something and even my non running wife did them. A little bit obstacle course and 5 k combined. We were bummed when Disney stopped that. It had become an annual tradition. My wife and I search for and listen and watch your DVC Fan content when we are driving from Morgantown to Charleston, SC. I told my wife that you were from WV, recently, and that you and Paul had vacationed at Massanutten and I am sure you two did like it (like being back home) but she and I basically live there already HAHA.

Massenutten did feel like home! We will always have a deep appreciation for the Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountain areas.

Good morning ! DVC crazy in Minnesota. Didn’t take my first trip until my early 40s (I was an older mom). Since that supposed once in a trip, I’ve been hooked. haven’t looked back and have been lucky to be back many times and on cruise line and ABD. Own direct and resale points. My only regret is not doing a bit more research before my first contract so I didn’t know I could split my points into multiple contracts. Looking forward to more great tips on this forum!

Hi everyone! This is Paige from NC. I am so excited for this forum! Our next trip is just 18 days from now. We have a split stay between our two home resorts. But my husband and I are always planning for the next visit. Though she will have a few weeks remaining, we will be celebrating our daughter's completion of her pediatric pharmacy residency. Can't wait to return to our Disney bubble!

Hey fellow DVC folks. My wife and I joined in 2021 at the Grand Floridian and later bought at the Disneyland hotel. We currently live in Southern California but are moving to Tennessee next month. Our the sons are well into adulthood. We’re just had our first grandchildren, twin boy and girl in January.

Hello! Joining you from the UK. Grew up in Connecticut to Disney loving parents. My kids are continuing the tradition. Next trip, DVC member cruise 2026.

Hi. Chris, husband and father of a 7yo, from mostly Maryland and most recently Delaware. First trip to Disneyland in 1984, still have my safari hat and Pirates of the Caribbean pistol. Second trip, Disneyworld 2024 and totally hooked. My wife's family got to go to DW because her aunt bought OKW very early and enjoyed the free tickets. Apparently, kids don't care about free tickets, they care about seemingly endless bus rides that traumatize them for life.

Not an owner, just a gawker. But, I endeavor to convince my wife to change that. We enjoyed AK and WL for Christmas, but we like the location of The Contemporary and would probably buy at Bay Lake Tower.

I forgot to say that I was at Disney World on day one (as a kid) and Mom said there wasn’t much of a lake yet. We did two rides, had some snacks and went on our way back north.

Costa Rica and Yellowstone/Montana both pre covid. Absolutely loved them! Fantastic trips!

Hi! I’m Traci from Washington state. My hubby and I honeymooned at WDW in 2000 and have been hooked ever since. We have 2 adult daughters, a teenage son, and 2 grandbabies. We love DVC and DCL! Our favorite resorts are Boardwalk, Ft Wilderness, and Grand Cal. I look forward to participating in these forums!

Hello, family of four (2 girls; 21 & 13). I had been to DL in the early 80’s twice, then in ‘17 we decided to take the girls one time and paid cash at Kidani. That led to DL the next year and we bought our first resale contract when we got back (which has led to other purchases since). I thoroughly have enjoyed the product as it his allowed us to do things I’d only thought about previously. Looking forward to getting other member perspectives from these forums.

I'm a Disneyland native based in San Diego, CA. My family purchased our Aulani contract in 2014, but we mostly spend it at WDW once or twice a year. We love our split-stays, and I believe we've tried every DVC resort there. I'm a big fan of the DVC Fan hosts and long-time podcast listener.

Hi Traci, glad to see fellow Washingtonians here! Joined DVC about a year ago now and haven’t stayed in our own points yet. Never had a honeymoon so aiming at our 30th anniversary in May for our first very own DVC stay. Glad to know there are others of us willing to travel cross country for the world of DVC. Kind of thought we might be just a little bit crazy? Glad to hear of your long history and happiness in DVC! Encouraging, thank you!!!

Welcome to DVC!! Happy 30th Anniversary! I hope you have a great anniversary trip. We spent our 25th anniversary at Grand Flo last August. It was magical! The trip to WDW from WA is long, but worth it! ❤️
