I picked October-December 2026 not based on anything other than July-September seemed to soon and the 2027 options seemed too far, LOL, so not very scientific.

Just as Paul predicted... the episode did not age well ๐Ÿ˜…. The episode dropped this morning 6/1 and today new info is available.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge Timeshare License is showing up and under review.

Key takeayas. it seems that:

1) most of the resort will be DVC (800+ units based on the timeshare weeks).

2) restrictions will be present

3) separate use plan from CFW.

Credit to Maui22 in disboards who found the info.

But interestingly, even if it's not the same Use Plan, you can still have multiple Use Plans under the same Trust (Palmetto). In other words, LSL will not be deeded property either in that case.

Happy to call the BoardWalk, Bay Lake Tower, and Grand Floridian home!

Disney Lakeshore Lodge Resort Use Plan Filed: New Details Emerge on Resort Size, Resale Restrictions, and Potential Palmetto Trust Connection

Disney Vacation Club has officially filed the Disney Lakeshore Lodge Resort Use Plan, giving Members their clearest look yet at Disney's newest DVC resort.

The filing suggests the DVC component may be significantly larger than originally expected, potentially accounting for roughly 876 vacation homes. It also confirms that Lakeshore Lodge will follow Disney's modern resale restriction structure.

But the biggest question may be whether Lakeshore Lodge could eventually become part of the Palmetto Trust. We take a deep dive into the Fort Wilderness timeline, what the filing tells us, and what a future trust assignment could mean for booking rights and ownership.

Here is what we know so far. ๐Ÿ‘€

Filing on 6/1 was probably on purpose as it probably starts some clock for sales/declare/etc.

876 rooms is amazing and as a DVC member exactly what i want to here, i.e. being able to use my points at more and more rooms. I wonder how it works long term is more and more resorts 'require' DVC membership or points usage (not counting cash stays) and how that will go over with regards to the Disney die-hards that already hate timeshares/DVC as it is.
