Welcome fellow CCV enthusiasts! I recently bought CCV during the 2026 flash sale and locked in a week 50 guaranteed week! I can’t wait to see the winter decorations and spend time there with my family.

Please share your thoughts and experiences with this amazing resort.

Love CCV, congrats on locking down that week! It can be tough to book certain dates with the heavy point allocation in the cabins.

We enjoy geyser point, the pool and the feeling of being at Disney but not really at Disney. The property just hits different!

That’s what’s great about DVC is all the properties have there own personalities and it makes them all unique!

Welcome Home! I've been a CCV owner since 2019 (bought resale) and just added on 150 points direct in January 2026. We mostly stay in 2 bedroom villas at CCV. We've tried a few other resorts, but CCV always calls us back. We are trying a 2 bdrm villa at BRV in October. Wilderness Lodge is our favorite WDW resort and there isn't a close second for us.

Couldn't get a CCV 1BR for the 3 nights we need in December so we're considering splurging on a cabin. They always seem to be available. Is it only because they're a lot of points or are they also overrated? Can't lie - we stayed in a Poly bungalow and it was a one and done for me.

I haven't personally stayed in the cabins, but they look wonderful to me. I think generally they are available due to the high point cost.

The cabins always have availability because of the high point value. We prefer the cabins over the Bungalows due to the hot tub. Many times the plunge pool in the Poly bungalow is too cold. When we come for NYE we like to book a cabin for the first few days of January and enjoy the hot tub. We are going to give the bungalows another try this July to see if the plunge pool temperature is better in the summer heat.

I've stayed in CCV cabins on two separate occasion. They are great, peaceful, especially if you are on a resort or down days. IMHO request for a cabin closest to the boat launch.

Howdy from TX,

We originally attempted to purchase resale at AKL; but Disney exercised the ROFR. I continued to look around and CCV popped up (the resort hadn’t been selling for long) so we jumped on it. Since that initial 200 we added 125 direct because of the incentive coming out of COVID, and then in the last year or so added 200 resale at Aulani. I couldn’t be more happy that the malaise ate our AKL plans and we were able to secure CCV, no matter when we go we have to stay at least some time at the lodge. It truly is home, especially at the holidays.

Closing on CCV as we speak. Wife and I did all our college in the PNW/Mountain West, so Copper Creek reminds us of our time there.

Ahhh, I would LOVE to stay in a cabin...Alas, one night in one is nearly my yearly allocation of points, so it probably will never happen. I don't think they're available because of being overraterd, but because of the high point cost. If you haven't yet, you should check out the DVC fan youtube walkthrough of the cabins ( I think they have two now). They're soo beautiful! I would love to live in one :)

Hi! My husband and I have owned at CCV since 2018. WL will always hold a special place in our hearts, because we stayed there on our honeymoon in 2001. We’ll be staying in a cabin in June for our 25th anniversary.

My family's first DVC resort! Love Wilderness Lodge and the whole aehstheic. Our goal for buying our first property was "where would we like to be if we never went to the parks" and WL is way up on the list. Can't wait to go for an early Dec trip with my boyfriend!

I'm confident that the high points per night is the primary cause for availability. I've enjoyed staying in one of the CCV Cascade Cabins every other year during the holidays. I even keep a 5' prelit Christmas tree with Owners Locker just to set it up in a cabin during my stays. Peaceful and super quiet. Beautiful interiors. Great for a small family with a big open living room kitchen, screened in porch, cute little outdoor reading area with a fake fireplace, and definitely the hot spa. Depending on which side you get, I've even watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the hot tub. Most people might feel that the high points per night could be better spent on more traditional accommodations. But for a splurge, I definitely recommend the Cascade Cabins.

I’m going to be staying at Copper Creek (in a studio) for the first time next week. I thought I had read somewhere that some rooms actually do not have the Murphy beds? Is this true? I don’t want to get stuck with a pull out sofa if I can help it.

We purchased CCV direct back in 2019 and have since added on there through resale. It's our favorite WDW resort. You can't beat it at Christmas and we love all the dining options and the fact that you can get a great meal without making reservations. Our favorite way to end our WDW day is to stop at Territory Lounge for drinks and apps, then put our name on the walk up waitlist for Geyser Point. Finishing up the night at GP and watching both the fireworks and the water pageant makes for a perfect evening.

Wanted my first post on these forums to be in the Copper Creek thread. My parents own there and we have been so fortunate to take four trips there since 2018, hoping to go again next year. It’s one of my favorite resorts and I can’t get enough of the Geyser Point vibe!

Copper Creek is my favorite resort! It's the 2nd most points behind AKV, but we love the Lodge and the quiet pool. Geyser Point is awesome. We stayed in a cabin with family once, absolutely awesome! 😎

They refurbished the rooms recently, and most of the rooms got the addition of the murphy beds. From what I understand, there are some rooms that can't accommodate the murphy beds because of ceiling slope...I think only on the top floor? But I'm not 100% sure on this, as I haven't stayed yet.

We love CCV! We stayed here the first time with our 19month old. We fell in love with the property because it was the best trip ever! We became DVC members after that trip and the rest was history! CCV feels like home! SO excited we are staying over Thanksgiving this year in a 2 bedroom!

Fellow CC owner here! Copper Creek was my second contract, got add-on-itis quickly. I own 100pts via resale.

Last summer, stayed at Boulder Ridge for 4 days and last September spent 4 days at Copper Creek. The resort is just beautiful. I enjoy Roaring Fork for a quick bite. My son & I think Whispering Canyon is a hoot! We laugh everytime! And, the best is Geyser Grill...it is so peaceful eating and looking out over the water. Last time, we were there in a downpour. The ducks may try to steal your food! I found the Turkey BLT last time and I was impressed, I might like it better than the burger. You just can't go wrong.

The pool is my favorite...Many times I don't take the enjoyment of the pool; however, my last trip I ended my last day with a pool night. WOW! It has the stunning views of the Wilderness Lodge and the views of the lake...watching the sun set was spectacular. There were kids in the pool, but it wasn't too loud, it didn't feel like people soup, it was perfect. I ended with time in the hot tubs. I'll be back.

I'm so happy CC is my home!

I do! My husband and I ate the original Artist Point on our honeymoon and loved it. We refuse to do Story Book dining. I’ve always felt that it out of place. What does a movie based on a German fairy tale have to do with the national parks theming of WL?

Right on the German fairy tale! It's really out of place with all of the other theming now

We stayed at Copper Creek in a cash 2 bedroom in 2018. We loved the villa so much I talked my husband into a DVC tour and the rest is history!

Our favorite time of year to stay is Thanksgiving week. There is no better experience than walking in the doors after a long park day and seeing that beautiful tree. Even when it's busy, the lobby feels so calm and welcoming.

The overall vibes. The rooms are well-themed to the wilderness. The Quick Service is pretty darn good. The lobby is spectacular, especially at Christmas. The tree is SO impressive. You can take a boat or bus to parks. The gift shop is large. The cast members are wonderful!

Geyser Grill is a hidden gem!!! It overlooks Bay Lake and the food is amazing!

You feel like you are not at a Disney resort, quiet, peaceful, and the pools are great! I absolutely love Copper Creek and I like Boulder Ridge too!

I have a Aug 2026 trip booked at Riviera because we wanted to try it, however now I am regretting not booking CCV like we normally do. Unfortunately only two of the days of our 6 night stay is available at CCV (none at BRV). Maybe I'll do a split stay but we did a split stay once before and didn't like the whole unpacking/packing/unpacking process.

Well said! I had a 5 day trip in March at Pop Century (out of DVC points!) with just my son and me. We went to WL after a MK to get some food. We relaxed at the "secret" fireplace, and in the lobby. I was like, why on earth would I want to stay at any other resort at WDW? I've tried so many WDW resorts, and as Laura said, Wilderness just as the best overall vibes.

We became owners with a resale contract at Copper Creek in 2023. We had never stayed at WL but had visited many times. The two lodges really have my heart. Driving in, the landscaping changes and it really feels like you’re in a different world - Disney at its best. We were able to get a studio before Christmas last year. Family is growing and babies and toddlers seem to need so much stuff, so we may skip CCV studios for a while, but are looking at adding points and hope to try the 1BR and 2BR soon. Haven’t dared to dream about a cabin yet.
