Copper Creek Villas Owner Thread
Original Post by Hubalorian
Welcome fellow CCV enthusiasts! I recently bought CCV during the 2026 flash sale and locked in a week 50 guaranteed week! I canβt wait to see the wint
We just got our points today! New to DVC and am curious about the likelihood of a waitlist coming through for a studio? We're looking the week of Christmas.
Greetings fellow CCV owners. I have a large family trip coming up in January, which will have three kids ranging in age from 7 to 3. Iβm curious if anyone has set up some sort of scavenger hunt at wilderness Lodge, and the Boulder Ridge building? Or even ideas of some hidden petroglyphs, hidden Mickeys, or even some not so subtle elements. I did the resort tour a few years ago, which I may do again as it was quite interesting with how much thought they put into the details. I highly recommend it for any owner who have not yet had a chance.
Anyone at CCV with the A/C failure? How are you coping? Sure hope everything turns out ok.

Welcome Home! I look forward to hearing your trip report. I love the Wilderness Lodge, Copper Creek & Boulder Ridge. It's stunning, it's beautiful, and the cast members are amazing! Geyser Point is the best...the burger is great, but I've fallen in love with the Turkey BLT. Watch out for the ducks though...they'll want your food.

Not sure if anyone replied to this yet, but I would set the expectation that the chances are very slim since WL is one of the most popular resorts the entire holiday seasonβ¦. much less Christmas week.
Best of luck!

My wife and I checked out last Thursday morning from Boulder Ridge. When I got her, the kid and our luggage settled in the WL lobby, it felt warm. Warmer than it should have felt. When I went down to Roaring Fork to pick up our breakfast, I knew something was not right. It was roasting in there at 7:30am. I felt so bad for the cast members in the kitchen.

Agreed, Food Service is a hard job to begin with. Must have been miserable. Fortunately Boulder Ridge was not a problem.

Can we all agree that the brisket dip with the homemade chips needs to come back to Geyser Point?!
I never had it but, I bet it was AMAZING!!

We had gotten there last Friday and stayed at BRV until this past Tuesday. It was very warm in the WL lobby and you could tell the overall vibe was off.
We had reservations at both Whispering Canyon and Story Book Dining the first 2 days and they had both been canceled. We ate at Roaring Fork the first night - appears another poster was there in the morning - and it was toasty! Couldnβt really enjoy our meal. Felt bad for the staff.
They did give out drinks and ice cream the first 2 days, so we took full advantage of that. Also gave out cooling towels.

Wow, sorry for tough trip. Normally WL has such a great vibe! One of our favorite resort hopping stops.

Wasnβt a tough trip. Sorry if it sounded that way. Liked it enough that we considered buying a BRV contract.

Friday's have a way of taking a weird turn.
We have been talking about doing a Poly tour during our visit next month and possibly buying our first direct contract, but we have left ourselves open if we seen a BLT or AKV contract opened up in our use year for the right price. Then this past Friday comes, and an alert pop ups for a CC contract for the right price, and right # of points. My wife and I both screen shot it and sent it to one another (great minds think alike I guess). Needless to say we made an offer a couple of minutes later, and are now waiting on ROFR.
We have never stayed anywhere on the Wilderness Lodge grounds but have been there for dinner a few times. We are looking forward to checking it out in a new light in just a couple of weeks. With any luck we will close by the time we head down.

Congrats and good luck beating that ROFR monster! My wife and I bought Copper Creek without ever having set foot on Wilderness Lodge property. We have a habit of risky DVC purchases; we just bought at the Disneyland Hotel without ever having visit California π€£
Two weeks ago we stayed at Boulder Ridge for the 1st time, and every time we were in the WL we kept saying "we made the right choice". So good luck and I have no doubt your family will love it!

Thank you!! We are really looking forward to staying there, but it probably wont be until later next year. We already have several trips booked over the next 9 months but you can bet the next one scheduled will be at CCV!!

Hey team, dumb question here that for some reason google cannot seem to answer concretely for us:
How do Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge work? When you own DVC at Wilderness Lodge, is it specifically at Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge? Or do you just own generically at Wilderness Lodge? And following up on that, if you DO have to specifically own at Copper Creek, do you get the 11 month booking window for Boulder Ridge rooms as well, and vice versa? Or would you ONLY get the 11 month window at Copper?
Sorry if this seems silly, but as a Poly owner (where its all one property and "home resort" status entitles you to book at 11 months anywhere on the property, from the tower, to the longhouses, to the bungalows), the whole suite of Wilderness lodge properties is a bit confusing lol.
Thanks,
Ben

You would own at either Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge, they are separate. You would get the 11 month window at whichever one you own, but not the other. From my understanding AKL is the only resort where you would get the 11 month window at both properties (Kidani Village or Jambo House). Also something to keep in mind is the Deed Expirations are significantly different at both resorts with Boulder Ridge being a 2042, and Copper Creek being 2068.

I own at Copper Creek, my experience has been it is harder to book there. Also, Copper Creek has a longer life. It expires in 2068 versus 2042.
That said, I love them both. Copper Creek maybe has a shorter distance to the lobby. Boulder Ridge is quieter and closer to the quieter pool. I don't think you can go wrong. You are in the Wilderness Lodge which is WONDERFUL!
