Big Thunder Mountain reopening on 5/3/26

So excited that one of my favorite attractions is reopening just days before I head to WDW! I'm looking forward to seeing what changes they made. For those there in early May, please report back!

I hear from people who have seen it testing it's super smooth! Not sure when we'll get a chance to ride it, but I'm excited too.

Both of my kids have become rollercoaster fans in the last year or so and neither have rode BTMR in WDW since its been closed - so they're both excited for it to reopen and ride it in June. My son has rode it in Disneyland multiple times though and loved it!
Curious to see what new surprises they have in store for us on the ride too!

Yeah, can't wait to go this summer. It's one of our favorite rides, and we've been back several times while it was closed, and haven't been to Disneyland since 2023, so we are overdue. And then we're also going to check out BTMR at DLP for the first this summer, too, so we're really making up for lost time!

I won't be back till the end of June but I cannot wait to ride my favorite again!
I'm going to the MK After Hours Pary on May 4th and am hopng it will be open during the party.
Nice! My family is also going to the party. I know they dont run tiana for the after hours at least looking last night at the times. I figure if they do the same for thunder i'll just prioritize that section of the park at 7 when we get in.

After what feels like forever Big Thunder is finally reopening and somehow it lands right on my birthday weekend. Dapper Day on Saturday and Big Thunder on Sunday out of all the days they could have picked it is literally perfect and I will absolutely be there celebrating every second of it.
So the weekend vibe is officially set Dapper Day outfits on Saturday feeling all cute and put together and then switching gears on Sunday to run off and ride Big Thunder. It is the perfect mix of polished and thrilling and I am fully leaning into both sides.
There is no way I could have planned this better great outfits and thrills all coming together for one perfect birthday weekend.
