Villas at Grand Californian Owners Thread
Just did it this morning through the Disneyland website. It starts out like any other reservation, but then clicks you through the other steps. Just follow the screens.

We're staying in a 2BD for the first time in June!
That page was helpful. Initially I added the both coasts badge to mine, but then took it off until I could figure out what it meant, then I found this thread! I didn't see VDH mentioned along with VGC and Aulani. Also, maybe it's Pacific resorts instead of West Coast? UPDATE: I see it's from a few years ago!
This is the "bonus" we've found, in addition to saving money. Now we can go more often (or at least my son and I when he is out of school), as long as we can find a good fare/award redemption and a good rate on hotels (like this summer's 40% off). Being able to go to the parks whenever and stay however long is great.
Looking forward to our kid being old enough to leave alone in the room!
Yeah, it is a genuine problem, and they need to do better to gain back that trust. In general, though, it seems like we are getting less for more (more and more) as time goes on.
My understanding is that this next pass will focus on the bathrooms, but it's all hearsay.
Sounds like some kind of backend change that is affecting Touring Plans ability to make requests on users' behalf.
I'm encouraged that they appear to be going back in again.
That's too bad about needing to stay at one of their properties. Will have to try DPAs for the rides we can't miss, and then we'll plan along skipping any lengthy lines for rides that are distinctive enough to wait for.
We've watched a bunch of their videos. I like the festival food round-ups.
I feel this. I definitely have to lower my standards, especially given the cost. We live outside the city, but travel in for special occasions and just for the heck of it a few times a year, and most places we end up we have a much better meal than we have ever had at Disney. 🤷🏼♂️
This is how I've been feeling at Crystal Palace. It's the one breakfast ADR I seem to tee up without even questioning it. Some may question my choice, but we've been vegan 25 years (our kid has been raised vegan), so we very much base our dining around a) quality and variety of plant-based options and b) character inte
Wasn't sure if posting links to other Disney sites would be kosher here, but someone will let me know! https://www.disneytouristblog.com/rock-roller-coaster-starring-muppets-opening-2026/ I think that is the post he has been updating since Muppet Vision's departure was announced and their re-appearance at the coaster w
Awesome. Thanks for the resources. Do you have to book the stay on property to get the unlimited pass? Universal's is what I was thinking of. I used to be a VIP guide at Universal Hollywood, and those passes were great. I still have time to shorten my stay in Tokyo and move over to the parks for one night, if necessary
We should see whether this is legit or just something Touring Plans heard somewhere, because we don't have any first-party sourcing, do we? Even if we do, I'm like VikeQueen, and I've usually had fairly specific requests (I try to have a few options), and I've done pretty well in terms of views after asking at the fron
I had such a similar experience, initially. My wife and I walked into the lobby and thought, "This is a bit posh for us." Okay, we never use the word "posh," but that was the idea. In reality, I liked it the first time we went, but it did seem a bit more formal than what I was coming to Disney for, but after visiting m
Finally enjoyed our first stay in February, after buying 200 direct points last April, thanks to multiple incentives. Had a great view from Moorea, just a studio this time. We have a 1BD reserved for a few nights in the Island Tower (theme park view) in December that I'm looking forward to. Our stay in February was rig
Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, and Animal Kingdom Villas come up a lot. Also, Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek. OKW is our fallback resort when we don't have a lot of points left, or only have a night or two and would still rather stay at DVC rather than a value for that particular stay. I have 3 nights coming up this s
We only bought about a year ago and are staying for the first time in June, but this was the resort that basically got me into DVC. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel when they were still working on VDH and saw the DVC brochure, but it seemed outlandish at those prices when I looked into it (didn't know about resale at
