Big Thunder Mountain reopening on 5/3/26

Yeah, can't wait to go this summer. It's one of our favorite rides, and we've been back several times while it was closed, and haven't been to Disneyland since 2023, so we are overdue. And then we're also going to check out BTMR at DLP for the first this summer, too, so we're really making up for lost time!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

Tom Bricker over at DisneyTouristBlog has some good analysis on this. He usually goes pretty deep on theme park updates, and he's a huge fan of the Muppets in general. Anyway, he did point out that the ride was always designed to quickly strip away the Aerosmith theming, in the event of some unseemly rock band behavior

Annual Passes or No?

Sorcerer Passes. We come several times a year, my son and I. My wife can't come as often, but even if she only comes for two weeks it saves money on tickets alone. But then there are the AP room deals, which as long as we have fewer DVC points than we need for how often we go (something I am working on remedying every

DVC Ownership Approach

You have a lot of replies already, but I'll reply with my own experience. For the next 11 years, we are stuck with the same school vacations and the same amount of PTO every year, so I basically backed into how many vacations we could have at Disney World and still do a couple international trips every year, as well as

The Membership Magic Beyond Option

Yeah, I've been pretty excited about it and was happy to re-up this year. I used my BOGO points already, so it has paid for itself. And with going 4 times in a year, we'll get plenty of use out of the "Lightning Lane" lounge access. Last year I enjoyed the cheaper photo pass. I was going to buy that for an upcoming tri

Hello, (Disney) world

Awesome! Love the Grands. Hoping to nab a couple contracts at BCV to ride that one out annually to the end, an Aulani contract for triennial visits, another couple of PVB contracts for some additional stays, and even one at RR. I think that will cover us! I guess we're swapping years on Paris/Tokyo. Excited to be going

Favorite Restaurant and Why?

Cool. I haven't been to the BBQ yet, but I didn't love the Tochos over at Woody's Lunch Box (they weren't bad; just not good). Will get to the BBQ one of these days, for sure. My son and I are doing the DDP for the first time a couple times this summer, and I'm going to try to mix it up and go some places we haven't be

Favorite Restaurant and Why?

For this question I could either choose a favorite out of the ones I've been to so far--probably Cítricos--or pick one I have been wanting to try but never had the chance--probably Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater at DHS. One caveat is that my family is vegan, so I am selecting very specifically for a narrow set of plant-based o
