We have not stayed there as we are a family of 5 and prefer studios. 1BR’s there are astronomical. It is a beautiful place though. We absolutely love eating at Wailulu.
Now you got me wanting to wait list something else for my July trip 🤣🤣. The reasons you listed are why we didnt buy Poly. Weve stayed there once but we decided we need to give it another try and not just judge it from the ahort stay we had. We have a 10 day split stay coming up- 5 at Rov and 5 at Poly. My gut is tell
Following along with the LSL conversation, i have a couple thoughts and questions. With over 900 rooms expected, do we thing availability will be a huge issue long term, especially with resale owners unable to book? I understand they wont all be DVC and we dont know the room split yet Would it be worth it to buy Poly n
Hey Kenny, I am excited to follow along with your journey as we were in your shoes exactly a year ago! We vacation at WDW a few times a year and fumbled with the idea of DVC for a few years before pulling the trigger. Of course, it was a tough decision between direct and resale. However, I knew if we did not go direct,
We like doing it but only if we’re at one resort for a min. If 5 days. I don’t recommend it for shorter stays for a lot of the reasons you listed, mostly kid related
I’ve ran into this where cast members just are not properly informed and give out the wrong information. We just traveled a couple months ago and did a three day stay at Riviera, five day stay at beach club followed by a two day Stay at Grand Floridian and had no problem booking lightning lanes for the entire trip on d
Hey Chris- this is incorrect. You can book LL’s for the duration of your WDW stay, even if it’s a split stay, 7 days out from the first day. It’s only dining where you have to book separately for each stay.
We love the monorail resorts as well! However, we will likely add on at the Grand over the poly. We love the classic poly studios but the tower studios are far too small for us. They are very nice though. We really love the resort studios at Big Pine Key for their proximity to the lobby and the quiet pool. As for the P
We’ve never stayed there and have always been hesitant to book. What about the resort makes you love it?
This is quite an interesting take and something I’d definitely favor. It will be very interesting in 2042 if all 6 resorts really go offline and resale owners can only book at a few places. I’m dreading the day but very anxious to see how Disney handles all this over the next 10ish years.
Unpopular opinion addition- Starbucks doesn’t belong in the parks! Joffrey’s is far superior and there should be more of them. Having Starbucks represented feels a lot like having a Subway or McDonalds on Main Street.
We bought resale here as well, 3 months after buying 200 at Riviera. My only regret is buying 75 points and not 50-75 more. We love that resort so much. The ambiance, location, night vibes, you name it. Being able to boat or walk to HS is amazing. Bussing to MK and AK in the morning weren’t too terrible. I’ll be riding
I always assumed 150 to be the mark as that is the threshold to direct benefits. We bight in at 200 and quickly realized we wanted more so we added on within a few months to 275. Will likely take that to 350-400 soon.
But the point charts at BWV are so insanely low? Idk that I would include that in this take but agree otherwise
That’s the way to do it! Good tip about the water parks. Our July stay is 10 days, 5 at Riv and 5 at Poly, so we may just try each water park. We typically pull our kids out of school for 1 week each year for the February trip. Unfortunately we don’t get a spring or fall break where we live!
Most of the services are paid from my understanding. I hear good things about pin pics.
It will be dedicated to BWV. When you come home from Disney Springs it will be combined. At least that’s how it was for our stays at Boardwalk.
We really love getting down the second week of February. We’ve been during the Super Bowl and Presidents’ Day weekend and usually do a 10 day trip! The weather is fantastic. The crowds are higher during Presidents’ Day weekend, but with a 10 day trip, we usually get great lightning lane selections, especially later in
