While there is a DVC Fan FB group for cancelled reservations for this kind of situation, we don't have a specific thread yet, but feel free to start one! Success rates of the FB group for coordinating have been hit or miss, but it's always worth a shot!
But interestingly, even if it's not the same Use Plan, you can still have multiple Use Plans under the same Trust (Palmetto). In other words, LSL will not be deeded property either in that case.
The last I saw, the estimate for completion was September 2026, but permits for the renovation don't expire until January 2027 for whatever that is worth.
I don't think I'll be running the Princess Half for next year, but I hope you get in! I really enjoyed doing it a couple of years ago. The cooler weather is a big plus!
Agreed, I would much rather see an update than a permanent closure. While I will miss the current iteration, progress is literally in the attraction's name, and given the recent attraction refurbs, I'm optimistic that this can be a good change.
For me, it's home resort location though I guess it goes hand in hand with home resort priority. I love being walking distance from the parks!. However, I do sometimes wonder now that I'm local if just going for more economical points would be worthwhile for some of those last minute weekend trips...
It's doable with the Palmetto Trust! If they structure it so that each resort has its own Use Plan within the trust, it's possible for them to have different expirations.
I'd happily stay in either the one-story or two! Lol. Kidding aside, it's a smart change on DVC's part.
Hollywood Studios got a new baby care center! This new one by The Magic of Disney Animation building replaces the old one by Guest Relations. We typically stay in studios and have never seen a pack 'n play already in the room since before the pandemic, but it's easy to request either by calling housekeeping from the phone in the room or even using the Hey Disney device. Both worked!
With all the media talking about Cool Kids Summer, I've seen a few articles mention that Disney has added more room amenities that you can request for younger kids, including: Bed bumpers instead of bedrails (I feel like this happened a little while back technically.) I find it easier to have them under the same Use Year (I have 3 home resorts under the same Use Year), but if you never plan to combine your points, having different Use Years isn't problematic. A week or so ago, I took a few pics of the construction at BWV. Things are moving swiftly over by Jellyrolls. At night when the lights are on, you can really see how gutted Jellyrolls is now. Not much is visible from Big River Grille. I'm really hoping that these are the projects that are alluded to when the Disney web
I'd imagine the gallery will remain a retail space, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's something else. A Disney-operated jazz club was the rumor for the former Jellyrolls space but not sure how much to read into that one.
